Plenty of people have grave concerns about US healthcare access and equitability, and have had those concerns for many years. His actions might just encourage senior health insurance people to use more security and isolate themselves more from public opinion. He faded out quickly within 2 months of the shooting, like the commentator said, he'll get attention for the trial, but 2 months after that he won't move the needle except briefly when there's news of appeals. Then he'll do 20 years on death row appealing everything he can before his last breakfast, or 50 years in prison before dying early from poor healthcare. Maybe he'll get a high profile documentary interview after 20 years, which will be forgotten 2 days later. But he didn't start a movement, and he didn't change anything.

First and foremost, I respect everyone’s opinion, even if it opposes mine. Furthermore Luigi is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law. There is no doubt that our healthcare system in the U.S. continues to decline in efficacy and insurance is a pain. In my opinion however, I cannot justify murdering someone just because they are deemed corrupt in society’s eyes. It is not up to us as citizens to take on the role of a vigilante or modern day bat man. Regardless of the things Brain Thompson did as CEO, him being murdered will not evoke change in our system. You may not have liked Brain Thompson as an individual/professional in the insurance industry. However, he was still a husband, and a father to two children. With that being said, I want to ask you all a question: if you were Brain Thompson’s widow or child, who knew him as an incredibly devoted father, and husband (in his family’s words), how would you feel knowing that so many people are villainizing your husband and justifying his death, while praising the person accused of killing him?

This naive, young man...ruined his entire life for a temporary conversation. Ruined his parents' lives, too...his parents are 71 and 60, it definitely shortened their lives.
