Great info! As always. For you guys who don’t agree with bed fishing. Tacticalbassin has other videos that show how the fish go right back to the bed after caught. That’s why Matt emphasized turning them loose close and quick. If it wasn’t right, Matt & Tim wouldn’t do it.

As a guide down here in the ultra clear waters of Lake Havasu, I need to say that you are dead on about the amber lenses! My bed fish baits? Brown/black 1/2oz Arkie by TRT Custom Baits, trailer is my design called the HMB, also hand poured by TRT. The HMB is also fantastic for a dropshot rig! Thanks for the vid Matt. You guys are awesome!

Been watching the channel for a couple years, bass fishing has been so much more enjoyable, really appreciate the one on one feel, like I have two awesome guides tutoring me. I’m from Canada, not on the same level as Tim and Matt(on a good year I would be happy to catch one 5 pounder). Still don’t catch a lot of five pounders but hit seven pounds on sm last year and the year before. I no longer consider 5 pounders picture worthy and just toss them back in as if they were dinks. Goal is a 9 pounder, lake simcoe has them and I want them. Your show should be on tv.

I noticed the bandaid back on your cheek, hope all is well with your skin issues. Also, had no idea the new moon passed. Thats wild you predicted that. 2 days ago when the new moon phase passed is when ALL of the big bass around here started moving shallow and i was catching tons of fish, couldnt really figure out what triggered them. They were active even after a horrible cold front that dropped the water temps down 12 degrees overnight; I live a good distance north of you guys too. Thats wack, i used to never really buy into the whole moon phase thing, but i might need to pay more attention now.

The Amber lenses are amazing! I bought two pair the other week. One being silver mirror the other amber. Couldn't be happier! when it was cloudy as all hell and misting rain on me. I thought who would put shades on right now? But I did amber is legit. Matt is right, the bottom just came out of no where. Cut the glare and brighten my day up! My water is 12ft clarity im seeing things in my lake ive never seen before! Perfect sunny days those silver lenses are killer! Lost an absolute giant last night at dusk. Can't stop thinking about it! I'm glad to know I made the correct decision while trying to catch a fish on the bed. I of course was using a white creature bait but could never get the fish to eat the whole thing so there was a lot of pulling and stretching because the fish only had the non-hook end of the bait. I switch to a 2/0 circle hook and wacky-rigged a TRD and on the 2nd attempt, I caught the fish. Couldn't have done that without an exposed hook.

I got a pair of the copper Eye Surrender glasses a couple of years ago after you recommended them in another video. I love them for the lake I live on. Last year they didn't spray the lake so the weeds and this scum stuff was thick everywhere. It was so bad that you couldn't even fish some weedless lures without pulling in a bunch of the slime the was growing on all of the weeds. Anyway great video and if these ones get lost of messed up I'm going to get a pair Tactical Bassin branded ones from Eye Surrender.

Appreciate the skin caner awareness and prevention advice. One common skin cancer location is the feet which is often overlooked. Bob Marley died of melanoma that originated in his toe. While fishing in sandals feels great, so too does fishing in shorts and a T-shirt. So if we're going to protect ourselves from skin cancer, we should also consider the feet and keep them covered.

Small mouth are on bed most of them any way. Water temp was 65-67 last week but with the rain we got Saturday it dropped the temp down to 61-62 largemouth are up shallow but still haven’t started bedding yet. Spinner bait and some top water if the water temp is right will work good for largemouth right now. Hopefully this might give you a idea of where to start
