Been watching the channel for a couple years, bass fishing has been so much more enjoyable, really appreciate the one on one feel, like I have two awesome guides tutoring me. I’m from Canada, not on the same level as Tim and Matt(on a good year I would be happy to catch one 5 pounder). Still don’t catch a lot of five pounders but hit seven pounds on sm last year and the year before. I no longer consider 5 pounders picture worthy and just toss them back in as if they were dinks. Goal is a 9 pounder, lake simcoe has them and I want them. Your show should be on tv.

Thats wild you predicted that. 2 days ago when the new moon phase passed is when ALL of the big bass around here started moving shallow and i was catching tons of fish, couldnt really figure out what triggered them. They were active even after a horrible cold front that dropped the water temps down 12 degrees overnight; I live a good distance north of you guys too. Thats wack, i used to never really buy into the whole moon phase thing, but i might need to pay more attention now.

I'm glad to know I made the correct decision while trying to catch a fish on the bed. I of course was using a white creature bait but could never get the fish to eat the whole thing so there was a lot of pulling and stretching because the fish only had the non-hook end of the bait. I switch to a 2/0 circle hook and wacky-rigged a TRD and on the 2nd attempt, I caught the fish. Couldn't have done that without an exposed hook.

Appreciate the skin caner awareness and prevention advice. One common skin cancer location is the feet which is often overlooked. Bob Marley died of melanoma that originated in his toe. While fishing in sandals feels great, so too does fishing in shorts and a T-shirt. So if we're going to protect ourselves from skin cancer, we should also consider the feet and keep them covered.
