Let us not forget to include the phrase "empty promise." This is where, according to me, someone says that he will do something, then doesn't do it, then doesn't bother to explain why he didn't do it. Then if he is pressed for an explanation he gives a partial truth while looking away from you. He takes this course of action because he firmly believes that there are no real consequences to his empty promise. I have had many experiences with people behaving as such.

My so called friends are always doing these unpleasant things to me & my husband snide remark’s or questioning everything we do or don’t do & the look on their faces when we don’t always do what we say we’re going to do !
