Because of heat and water the colours may fade after sometime.so better to use varnish...

What if we pour water on these pots if we use acrylic paints on them di we need to use any varnish to protect them from water and dust

If you are keep them outdoors where lots of heat and rain comes,then yes they required varnish...and acrylic colours won't wash off
