6:28 I would love to believe in this but for whatever reason the enemies i get are fanatical in their devotion to a single bombsite, they might attack my bombsite once (literally first round, they get killed by utility cuz im killjoy) and for the rest of the half they never attack the site again UNLESS i switch my setup to the other point then they decide to rush that other site, incredibly frustrating lol

Being bad at AIMING could be a legit reason to pick smoker/controller. Yet, from my perspective (880-hours controller), you can absolutely carry your teammates as a controller from a side role. Controllers can display more kinds of plays to win rounds (and games), no matter if attacking or defending, than any other role. Valorant isn't just about the kills. But, still, it's so funny how we controllers will always be shouted that accusatory 'why you didn't smoke heaven Brim?'...

​@@jesusmontes1768 yup. You really don't need aim. Reached ascendant with Brimstone and after that felt confident enough to pick up Phoenix, which then I've hit Immo with. It's never complicated. If you want to win rounds, start off by looking for ways to get EASY KILLS. Camp in your smokes, sit in spots enemy rarely would clear, play around your smokes, learn to use your abilities correctly, learn all the simple ideas like trading teammates, being aware of the game state (looking at the minimap for example), supporting teammates, etc. Below Immortal, there's usually at least 10 things you can do to boost your chances of you winning any given round. They're not complicated, you just need to learn what they are, and they have nothing to do with aim or skill, many plays work with Shotguns or LMGs! You can hit Radiant on Neon + Shotgun only.

Mathematically, I can only get a maximum of 10% control of each game. Assuming that: 1. I can (and I have) 100% control (of) myself (aka. mechanics, mental, communication factors...), 2. I am ranking alone (solo queue), 3. There are 10 players in each match (5 on each team), so 1/10 is 10%. I can only increase my winning chances by having good comms and team mental. If this is an experiment, I am the only independent variable. Even my shooting accuracy depends on RNG! To conclude, this is a game of luck. Enjoy the game.

One person can control much more than 10% of the game (put a radiant in a plat lobby for example), so your proof breaks down there (what does "control" even mean in this case?). Higher skilled players have higher ranks, it's not even close to a game of luck. Yes you can get unlucky sometimes, but if you deserve a higher rank, you'll win more games on average.

@@duhby Your "example" is smurfing. And if you are smurfing you don't need tactics or any brain at all you are just shamelessly clapping weaker players. This video as a whole makes no sense because it disregards how trash the matchmaking system is. Rarely ever do you get the chance to carry and thats because everyone else is less skilled than you. But that's so rare. More often than that, everyone will be more or less equally skilled. And even more often there will be smurf(s) in either team ruining your experience as a whole. TLDR: You are not carrying unless your are smurfing OR you are put into trash lobby by garbage MM system.

Unless you are smurfing you are not carrying anything. Even though matchmaking absolutely sucks, you tend to match players around your skill level. And good luck beating people as skilled as you 1v5

this is false i am currently ascendant 1 which isn’t really high elo but i can still hard carry in my games without smurfing like yesterday i went 34-17 while my whole team was negative and we won 13-11 you can carry it’s just harder also if you deserve a different higher rank you should be carrying

@Spheal-nvm If your KD is always high like that then you deserve higher rank. Otherwise if it happens so rarely, you were lucky to get enemies much weaker than you. My point is, in a truly balanced game everyone is around the same level and have similar combat score and no one carries. In order to carry the match must heavily favour you, either by you knowingly smurfing, or accidently getting into a weaker lobby with the same rank because ranking system sucks in valorant.

@@Spheal-nvm In my case, I can not even tell whether I deserve a higher rank or not because mostly my team is plastic 1 while the enemy reyna is getting 40+ kills. And rarely ever my reyna is also good so the whole match is just two giants clashing and others spectating. Those kinda games, I consider smurfing as opposed to carrying. It is rarely a "GG" in the lower lobbies because either team has a smurf to finish on top and the other players are just doing whatever. If I am supposed to "carry" against those smurfs, the whole video must be like 10 seconds long and be like "just get good aim and better ping" and end it there. Carrying as a concept is a wrong statement in a balanced game.

There’s a lot more that goes into rr gain then your personal game performance. The enemies were probably a decent bit lower ranked than your team.
