I like that marker technique. Also you can color code your bins and the content inside your bins so that when you bring media into your timeline it’s already color coded for you.

One thing I find myself frequently wanting to do is to ripple delete only a single line (either footage or audio). Is there a way or shortcut to do this without locking all other layers?

Amazing tutorial dom ! I never knew the numpad trick ! It’s awesome 😎 also, I suggest you to try hands on Asmr voiceovers. You have a very clean story telling voice. Keep it rolling !

@@dominiekvandijk9352 yeah asmr voiceover is a thing. People post videos where they read books and stuff and some people hire people to provide them with voiceovers.

you only need two tips to edit faster in premiere. Don't use a mouse and learn pancake editing, these tips here are useful only if you've literally just started and even then, they'll foster bad habits
@YOURTECHFRIEND2 жыл бұрын
Simon can you please make a video on that, or reference one, as wanna know/learn. Kind regards - Brian
“Color code your clips” will foster bad habits? Lol and “organize your clips into folders?” I want some bad habits then.
@SimonHepworth2 жыл бұрын
@@FFXZeldagames let me clarify. If you need a tutorial to tell you to do these things and hadn’t worked them out as best practice you shouldn’t be editing. Also, read what i actually said “these tips are only useful if you’ve literally just started editing” H aving that many bins named like that is a recipe for disaster when you work on bigger projects. Hence bad habits. Labels are fine when you have enough labels. What about when you run about? Labels to signify styles of shot is just a bad idea. Use them for showing what types of shot are in your timeline etc.

Second tip was solid ❤ no hate but consider just chopping off the first 3 minutes of this video for better retention ❤❤❤❤❤
