I just read Stephen Graham Jones' new book I Was A Teenage Slasher and absolutely loved that it. That POV change was such a shift from what we usually get and absolutely fascinating!

If you haven’t seen the miniseries Dead Set, do. It was filmed on the set of Big Brother and gives you both a great sense of how reality shows work and a zombie apocalypse.

I just finished My Heart is a Chainsaw based on your recommendation and loved it. I also am almost done with the second book and am enjoying that as well. I need to apace these types of books out, but i do have the third book checked out from the library. Also, thanks for all your recommendations. I have just started reading slasher books and everyone ive read on your recommendations, ive enjoyed.

The interesting thing about "Friday the 13th: Part III (aside from it being the movie where Jason gets his iconic hockey mask--- Grady Hendrix insists the scariest Jason is the baghead Jason from part 2, but I digress) is that they pretty much put everything aside--- acting, story, etc., simply for the 3D effects. One actor actually said that people were cast not based on acting, but whether they could, for example, get a yo-yo to go in the right place for the 3D camera. It is not a good movie. Anyway, thanks for the recommendations! I love "My Heart is a Chainsaw", and just read Stephen Graham Jones's latest, "I Was a Teenage Slasher", which could go well on this list. I didn't love it as much as "Chainsaw", and wished I had enjoyed it more, but the ending really hit me, and a good ending can really go a long way in changing my overall impression of a book.
