Again I only partially agree. "Thou shalt not kill" is also in the Bible. No use killing snakes. The next step is killing in a holy war against "the ennemy" where history is full of. Yes, there is an unseen spiritual realm and yes 'evil' and 'the devil' exist but we must conquer it steadfast and with strong love and light and truth that uncovers all lies not with 'war'. Did Jesus wage 'war' with satan? He rebuked him but didn't kill 'the prince of this world'. Why? Because this fallen world is a learning school how to become holy again and you need an adversary to 'let the rough diamond shine through a lot of friction'. Those who understand, understand.

What I find difficult or almost impossible to deal with though, is when the spouse is unprepared or unwilling to change or accept the fact that they are dealing with these strongholds. Even if they hear God audibly, they want to fight on their own, operating and almost promoting a matriarchal system in the marriage and household. Ugh! I'm not trying to convert my husband and I'm trying to be patient with God's plan for him, but it is heartbreaking to witness him being tormented by the evil spirits that live in him.

While we pray for them (spouse), we grow more and more in Christ, because we learn more and more of Him and from Him. It becomes very frustrating when you don’t see positive change though and yes, we cannot force others to believe in what we believe in. The best thing you can do in this case is pray. Pray without ceasing for God to touch his heart and to show him the things in his life that are not aligned with God’s. Intercede for your husband and don’t give up praying and believing that God is at work in his heart. This works. Sometimes I wanted to do it in my own flesh and tell my husband what he was doing wrong but God changed me to just show him love and bring him to God in prayer. When I stopped working in my own flesh, God started working in both of us. God told me to just pray for him and I did. That’s when I started seeing change
