1-You look back over the last 35 years and Duke stands out as THE blueblood of blueblood programs in college basketball. 2- Coach K made sure to get Duke involved in NIL to the point the program is on the cutting edge of that phenomenon. 3- Surprise, surprise. The best incoming players in college ball WANT to play with their peers, even if it means they won't necessarily be the dominant star on the team or will get less playing time than they would at a program that doesn't load up on the #1 class nearly every year. 4- Duke has absolutely cutting edge facilities, especially in sports medicine and surgery. 5- Cameron Indoor stadium is undoubtedly one of the top mecca's in college ball. Period. Players know when they come to play at Duke they will play for a massive audience and a television fan base that is international. 6- The value in dollars and reputation of attending an elite educational university. No other schools except Duke and Gonzaga combine being an elite private school and having an elite blueblood history and reputation. And of those two private schools only Duke has 5 natty banners hanging from the stadium ceiling. I won't mention how many hang at that other school because there aren't any. The cost of a full ride year at Duke exceeds $70K.

All about brand recognition. These guys know going to duke gives them national exposure like no other program in the country. You can argue UK is on the same platform but I don't think even they get quite the same attention.

Duke has the best basketball facilities. In the entire country. They play a massive amount televised games. Duke is by far the best choice.
