The USA Constitution protects the rights of everyone regardless of color, gender, age or sexual orientation. Black people also hate each other look at S Sudan, Rwanda, Cameroon, S. I am a Gambian living in London who owns 2 properties back home. I visit regularly and a big thank you to Juliet for showing my beautiful country to the world. One question which I notice often comes up here is why high walls ( fence ) around the compounds? It is simply for privacy and less about security. In Gambia we spend most of the day outside of the house in our compounds and you need privacy with that sort of lifestyle. Is like here in the UK, most of the day is spent behind the walls ( inside the house).
@ellamitchel4415 жыл бұрын
If the walls, not fences are only for privacy why are they all in concrete with those big gates? Can you do a wooden fence for eg. with a smaller iron gate?
@ansut34405 жыл бұрын
Is about durability and cost of the wall. Vast majority of the walls are made of cement blocks( not concretre) which lasts a lot longer than wood in a hot and humid climate .

NO, NO, NO - 6 FT walls and iron bars on the windows are the first signs of high crime area ANYWHERE in the word!!! or at least in areas where people do not see a diffrence btv. whats yours it could be mine!
@yonab86495 жыл бұрын
I don’t understand you people. The high walls and iron on the windows is why Gambia is so safe. African people know the world is beautiful the people in it are a different story. Like my grandpa say “ prevention beats cure”. Not because you don’t have high walls and iron on windows in your neighborhood don’t mean nothing. I lived in the most beautiful part of Minnesota and many of my neighbors houses were meth- crack addict- killer- beat your wife houses . No matter where you go in this world you’ll always have crazies.
@randomfacts1204 жыл бұрын
We Africans, love our houses with a big cemented fence, for PRIVACY, SECURITY and BOUNDARIES! It also indicates to people that it's a private property. Nobody want to build a family 🏡 and let people walk in and out of the compound as they pleases.

Juliet, You are a natural for Africa. You personify the saying, “I may not have been born in Africa, but Africa was born in me.” I live in a home in the states about the size of yours. I was fortunate to be able to pay off the mortgage when I retired, eliminating all of that thirty years worth of interest, and the full cost, after only seven years of mortgage financing was way more than what your estimated full cost will be. If I weren’t sixty nine, with Multiple Myeloma, my wife and I would be headed to Africa. God bless you.

All of them should be free to enter their motherland. We should not be charging them no fee. Am a full Gambian that supports Repatration, we should be under no one jurisdiction but our own. I will hate to know that the BRITISH government is benefiting from these charges considering that they are responsible for the displacement of our people from their HOMELAND. It seem to me that they should be financing and assisting our families who's intensions is to return HOME. BLACK POWERS TO THE WORLD ❤️.
