You sound exactly like a good friend of mine who was also a Scorpio who let himself be the fallback for an ex gf he was obsessed with... but she went thru one guy after another and inbetween used him as a place to go to avoid her exs - but only for a week - then would leave and would be with another guy within a few months/weeks. BUT NEVER HIM. She just used him cos she knew he would NEVER refuse her, whatever she asked of him. I would have told her to take a running jump but my mate was besotted with her and, my god, did she use him. Nothing sexual but do you think that mattered to him? Each time she used him he was obviously very upbeat and happy that she was staying with him [we were next door neighbours] and after the 3rd time she 'showed up' I asked her straight to her face, "Why do you do this? Are you getting a high from using my friend like this? Are you getting off on the fact he'll never refuse you?" I wasn't thrown out for being rude as she just sat there and sulked so I don't believe she was aware of how much she was using him. And my other friend was motioning with her hands "Please NO!! Don't say anything" cos she knows how tactless I can be sometimes but it just annoyed me. And it annoyed me that SHE - my girl friend - was cool with letting this charade carry on yet again so I just said what needed to be said. Don't be THAT guy, mate. Move on. Or just ignore this stranger who doesn't know you from adam. Trying to rekindle a relationship that ended 5 years ago is like trying to make a long distance relationship work. A Sag needs to know you're with them on the grand adventure. It's so deflating to think of something fun to do and plop, the other person poo poo's the idea. Please try camping, hiking, parachuting, etc. Sag's really are accommodating but please try something that they want to do - even once. Be Romantic but in a unique way. One of the best things someone ever did for me was pull up outside my house as a surprise with the back of their Jeep made up with sleeping bags and blankets. We went camping in the park for a couple of hours and had so much fun. I will never forget that effort.

If I am honest, I have heard that line before coming from a Sagittarius :) Like I've said in my video, with Sagittarius it is more important to know that no one os restricting their freedom then to actually go out and follow on their impulses. I believe that he might just want to be honest to you and make sure you know about his need for freedom. I would also try to be honest and stand my ground if I were you, nevertheless without trying to limit his freedom. Tell him what you wish for and expecting and just make it clear that you are not limiting his freedom just keeping your standards... he will for sure get that and respect it... and also understand that he might actually be in danger of loosing you...

The key idea for Sagittarius i think is the "discovery": when u talk about the romantic/adventure, i think is more near the adventure (sorry for my english i studied very little of it, i talk only cause i am a Sagittarius in 2020:), adventure cause the pleasure and the search of the discovery.
