It's so damn hard being around people who don't have the same interests, Very few of my friends (male or female) are interested in fashion, only 2 of my guy friends are, 1 follows the other. One of the guys will only buy off BooHoo on sale, hates spending any money but likes trying a lot of different styles, when it comes to shoes/trainers, it's BooHoo desert boots or adidas superstars. Now he's looking at a pair of huaraches, I mentioned about getting a pair of NMDs and he couldn't fathom paying that money, he didn't even think I was talking about the more expensive primeknit version. Here in Ireland, it's not even a case of people being indifferent to expensive clothing, most people I know are entirely against it. Paying over €100 on anything is madness, adidas is seen as pricey, and I don't come from a poor area.

That's hard as is but there's almost a negative connotation associated with it. The topic of conversation changes to the 'idiots' who buy stone island because it's so expensive. Or who buys the shit in footlocker (Ultraboost, Nmds, racers etc) and when I say 'well, it's there money, and that's some peoples hobby'. I get the 'well it's a stupid one' or 'would they not just play a sport it's cheaper'.. It's damn frustrating, it's good that someone get's where I'm coming from.

I disagree that body type has anything to do with style and fashion. It's totally arbitrary, the "rules" established by ridiculous fashion and beauty standards. Body type and physicality doesn't really matter if the wearer personally feels it looks good. What's more important is personality and your interests, not what your body looks like. If you're not a goth why dress like it? You can borrow from sub cultures but embracing a full look isn't interesting and might not be satisfying in the long run.

True it's how the person thinks they look but body type does factor into how certain pieces will look on you. some things are just going to look better on taller people than short vice versa. For example, a short woman would probably look ridiculous in the vetements x manolo blahnik boots
