As a 10+yr tarot reader who's read people from all over the world. I do see an algorithm of depression steming from people that refused to try new activities. Also refuse to accept a newer (evolving ) version of themselves that are no longer satisfied with same old same old lifestyle...like their inner child wants new friends, new job, new diet, new spiritual work, etc. Please don't refuse to make changes and stay stagnated in frustration.

Sure, sometimes things must end and entropy comes for your mind/perspective/belief system that can't withstand the stress / blows of fate. In my 30s and it sounds more like devolving than evolving. Losing major parts of an old identity realizing I gave away my power to a friend group and never committed to anything fully which may be par for the course in your 20s but is dysfunctional in you 30s. Combine that with a smothering now aging parent seeking to further impose their "worries" and control, where is the fairness in that? I speak as someone who went through therapy and have tried to do my best in work and education. Now letting all of that burn up. What a waste. Surely there must be some way to steer this.

Hey, as mentioned in the video, regardless of your life circumstances, it's crucial to shift your perspective from seeing it as a burden to recognizing it as an opportunity for growth. Your present moment is the result of past decisions and actions, and it's unproductive to dwell on fairness. Instead, focus on setting a new course and removing obstacles toward your desired goals. This requires effort, whether you're a zen monk or a regular person in modern society. The key is to work on shedding parts that contribute to a wounded self-image, allowing your true essence to shine through. Commit to go beyond yourself. If you have any specific questions or need further clarification, please let me know. I'm planning to create a Q&A video soon and would appreciate your input.

@@NinjaMindMastery Thanks for the reply. Dark Night is generally a western concept but it seems your resolution is grounded vaguely in Buddhism. While no doubt inspiring and well crafted video a part of me is curious if you could recommend a book for those if us less familiar with the mindset and needing more rules, background and caution. I forgot who it was, possibly Carl Jung that mentioned how Buddhism can be dangerous to the western mind and I think that has to do with one's upbringing and conditioning and understanding other facets of the tradition that go beyond it being a commodified western nihilism cope. Sorry for the rant. For example regularly shedding parts of oneself that contribute to the victim mindset can mean for someone with a history of trauma that they should dissociate more from their true feelings. I know these are all hypotheticals and perhaps the true power of this type of content is in generality of reach and not excessive caution or set of rules but that is essentially my qualms about it.

@@avertingapathy3052 Certainly, books like "The Journey To Ixtlan" by Carlos Castaneda, "Siddhartha" by Hermann Hesse, and "Zen Mind, Beginner’s Mind" by Shunryu Suzuki have significantly influenced my perspectives. While I appreciate Christian mystics like St. John Of The Cross, who famously discussed the concept of the "dark night of the soul," the essence of personal growth transcends specific teachings to a few universal truths rooted in experience. Everyone, to some extent, grapples with trauma. Our very conditioning, the lens through which we see the world and label as 'I,' can be viewed as an initial trauma, setting the foundation for suffering. This conditioned self or ego continually evaluates experiences, reinforcing its existence through preferences and aversions, leading to cyclical patterns of behavior and thinking. The goal isn't to become passive or disconnected but to discern between the ego's reactions and the soul's true feelings. Both Buddhist teachings and Christian mysticism, from figures like Meister Eckhart, allude to this understanding, albeit in varied terminologies. The essence is to "know thyself," moving beyond the mind's noise. In dealing with trauma, the opportunity arises to confront and release the wounded self-image, transcending addictive or harmful identities. This transformative journey taps into the creative source of our higher self, fostering true growth and freedom. I hope this brings some clarity.
