Love the analogy of the dishwasher program and seeing our “program” unfold .. I really got how automatic our reactions and patterns are .. and also how we can “turn it off “ through our awareness . Thank you for such a clear explanation and the tools . I am aware I am feeling empowered 😂😂❤

I’m so glad the analogy resonated with you! 🙏🏼 It’s amazing how much of our patterns are automatic, but awareness really is the key to "turning it off" and breaking free. So happy to hear you’re feeling empowered!

Boris, this video is exactly what I needed-thank you for guiding us through such a powerful practice to break the cycle of anger. Your insights on how anger is rooted in our false perceptions truly hit home. It brings up a deeper question for me: if we are to transcend anger by releasing unmet desires and unfulfilled expectations, how do we navigate situations where those desires are deeply tied to spiritual aspirations? In other words, when the desire itself seems aligned with our higher purpose, how do we distinguish between a pure calling and the ego’s attachment to outcomes? I would love to hear your perspective, and I'm sure many others here would find this exploration valuable as well. Much gratitude for the wisdom you're sharing with all of us!

Wonderful as always Boris. I can relate to the dog example haha. I've been dealing with insomnia and I've found it increasingly difficult to control my emotions. I also feel frustration about the situation itself -- nothing I do seems to resolve it, even things that have helped in the past. What it brings up most of all is this feeling of powerlessness, and I think that's at the root of all anger, at least for me. But playing the role of the observer and reminding myself not to get caught up in appearances -- which are always changing anyway -- helps to bring peace to the situation. I also recognize that it's the story I'm telling -- when I was younger I would stay up all night for various reasons, and I did not have a problem with it then. The only difference is that back then I believed I had a choice, but once I remove that belief, the situations are really no different.

Thank you for sharing this so openly. 🙏🏼 I really resonate with what you're saying, especially about the feeling of powerlessness being at the root of anger. It’s amazing how shifting to the observer and recognizing the changing nature of appearances can bring peace, even in challenging situations like insomnia. It’s interesting how much of our experience is shaped by the stories we tell ourselves-just like you said, the only real difference is the belief around choice.

Very helpful. Sometimes though, such trivial examples of upset make me wonder would this work if the source of anger is the result of serious events. For instance, if racists murdered a family member and everyday you’re surrounded by a world full of racists, sexism, and increasing violence. It’s hard to internalize that there are not victims or attacks.
