@@sillykittygirl Islam attempts to steal and claim all abrahamic figures as previous messangers whilst calling them muslim and denouncing the other abrahamic religions. how could abraham, king solomon or jesus be muslims if islam was created in 610ad I will never know. But dosent stop them from pretending to accept these figures as forefathers whilst whitewashing history hoping you are too ignorant or unaware to notice. All of this to say according to the quran alot of shit dosent make sense when you hold it up to the same standards we hold everything else in this world.

Do you have any tips on dietary restrictions after reverting? It’s extremely difficult for me while living with my mother who doesn’t know I’ve reverted.

I do actually. All vegetarian food is halal. Also, there’s a lot of studies out there that prove pork is incredibly bad for you. And also remember, in certain cases if you don’t have an option, it’s okay to eat things that are haram. For example, if you are on an island and all you can find to eat is pig, then it’s okay to eat it. Obviously your case is not so extreme, but if there really is no way out and you feel like telling her could end your relationship with your mother then there may be an exception

Excellent video mashAllah. Well done! Its important that born Muslims need to be aware of the difficulties that western Reverts face. As a born Muslim l was always slightly hesitant of approaching Reverts ,wanting to respect their privacy and not wanting to impose and make them nervous. Reverts also need space to develop at their own pace They also have initial fears of being pulled into a particular group or culture and not forgetting that many come from cultures that are fairly reserved , the open and warmth of Muslim culture can sometimes be overwhelming and takes time for them to absorb. There are a few good organizations working and supporting Reverts in the UK- namely Islamwise at Green Lane Madjid, Birmingham and IERA in London who do residential courses too for new Muslims.
