Really surprised to hear this weird, flat voice over the video compared to the usual fare. This combined with the fact that his face isn't shown on video and there's some weird wording, I've gotta imagine this is AI. I hope not.

black shoe i use on formal occasions , brown mostly casual. so i have more black than brown shoes. my go to pair of shoes is always a black shoe.. during the week.. brown takes over from Friday to Sunday only,

@@aureate Hard disagree, unless by "dark" you mean black. Ant is wearing a dark blue suit at 0:25 and looks great. It's not a mix of formality, it's semi-formal.

@@MijinLaw No offense, but the fact that you refer to navy as dark blue says a lot. Navy is a formal suit color. You wear black oxfords with it. You don't mix formal with informal. This is men's fashion, not cutesy IG nonsense. There are rules to dress as a man.

@@aureate Grow up and calm down. Navy is a shade of dark blue; I intentionally said "dark blue" to keep the categorization neutral as it's not that clear with whatever lens / filter they are using for that shot. And while you may feel strongly about these color combinations, you're clearly in the minority, if even the man that hosts this channel disagrees with your take, so there's no need to be rude to those who disagree with you.

wait... what is formal wear to americans? where i'm from (EU) formal attire is black tie or white tie. a full suit would suffice fur business attire and semi-formal events like weddings or phd graduation events etc. and I suppose blazers could have a place there, but would be on the more casual end of the spectrum, worn by guests. but more likely you'll find blazers (as well as sportscoats, smart jackets etc. as like elegant/chique casual attire to like dinnerpartys or professional conferences etc. And yeah... blazers have heavier fabrics (are more rigid/have more structure), solid colour and metal buttons. Of the items shown in this video in the section blazers, only 1 jacket was a blazer? But really none of these so called myths feel like myths... i've rarely ever heard them, or even heard of them. and those brown shoes under dark or blue trousers... feels business tacky to me... they like idk.. scream for attention. cold blue with warm brown is just way too much contrast for my liking and it give the illusion of shorter legs to boot (punintended). If you wear brown shoes, wear brown trousers. red or green trousers could still go for brown shoes, if it matches the colour scheme. but hey that's just my opinion on matching shoes. idk.. this video feels.. idk... a bit like a disappointment for me...

He's using the term BLAZER incorrectly, o' course. He means Sport Jackets, but they actually still don't really pair all that well with denim jeans or other casual pants. Not all black shoes are formal, but no brown shoes are. I can't stand wearing watches but maybe someday I'll own one again for whatever reason. How old is "older"? I'm still neigh Jeff Gold's age, but he also has Hollywood money that most of us do not.
