Chambray might be a good stand-in for the denim maxi skirt. I found one so light it kind of floats, even in far west Texas, 20 miles from the Rio Grande River. It gives a very similar look, without the weight.

You’re absolutely right about the bulky sandals. I don’t like them and don’t wear them and I hate denim skirts. I rather wear comfortable and classy looking sandals. Thanks for the great tips.

I agree with these tips. I have had denim skirts in the past, but will look for a chambray skirt as suggested by another viewer. Lately I see nice feminine dresses worn with Birkenstock style sandals. Not too flattering to me. The Dad sandal portion reminded of that.

I've never understood tye dye!! Not even in the 70's. It's goofy. Agree with you on bermuda shorts too. I'm tall with a nice waistline, but have saddlebag thighs. Bermuda shorts make me look waaaaaay bigger than I am!
