This particular technique always felt like a bottleneck for me. You can use your right hand to palm mute while sweeping downwards to prevent the tones from overlapping. But how do you prevent that from happening when going upwards?

Just a thought. Isn't that first tempo 45 BPM, and not 60 BPM? I was putting this exercise into my DAW. Noticed 60 felt fast compared to your tempo. Thanks!

no, still should be 60bpm if you try www.beatsperminuteonline.com/ to click the metronome, it should come up as 60 if you're precise.

@@LukasKocka OMG. i just realized why I clocked it at 45 BPM. I used a taptempo as well to clock it. As it wasn't lining up with the 60BPM I set in my DAW. And it came out 45 exactly. With your video. THEN, i realized I had turned the speed of the video to .75 speed. To get the sweep movements down. Hence why I clocked 45BPM, not 60BPM. With it at .75 speed. [(60PM * .75) = 45] Math.. yay! I knew something was off. Doh! Thanks Lukas! Great vids. Subscribed!

Unfortunately, a 21 fret strat won't work with this, you have a 22 fret guitar.
