Becoming a living stone, that is being "Born Again," is an individual calling, as is documented in the Word of God, in John chapter 6, verse 44, when Jesus told the Jews: "No man can come to Me, except the Father which has sent Me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day!" And in John 3:3 - "Jesus answered and said to him [Nicodemus], Verily, verily, I say to you, Except a man is born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God!" And I Peter 1:23 - Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible Seed, by the Word of God [Jesus IS the Living Word of God], which lives and abides forever!" I truly appreciate your work, Mr. Williams, and my prayer for you is that, one day, you will be able to say "I Am Born Again! Hale-lujah!" "I AM A CHRISTIAN!" "All Glory to my God and Saviour Jesus Christ!" Otherwise - my friend, you will die in your sins, and will not inherit eternal life, as a "Born Again" child of God! And although you, and many like you, who are children of God by "creation," are "good" people, you are not a child of God by RE - Creation, which is why Jesus told Nicodemus, he needed to be "born again!" It also says in the Word of God, The Just [justified, if you are justified by Jesus, you HAVE BEEN "Born Again!"] shall Live [forever] by faith! You MUST BELIEVE, then - you will receive, the incorruptible Seed! You, Mr. Williams, ARE being called through the work you have been doing for Christ, open your heart to Him, I would love to see you in the Kingdom! True pure Christianity is a blessed good things for all peoples. Sadly many have perverted Christianity to manipulate and control! We sure do not want Heathen idolatry ,Human Sacrifice and Kapu laws like in the old times!

I love your work however , trying to separate the missionaries and the rest of “Christian civilization “ is an exercise in imagination. They came on merchant ships! They claimed to be from a Christian civilization which had a slave economy.How can this be parsed? I hope some day to sit with you and kukakuka dis one . I really think the christian god is the consolation prize for having to surrender to the ( Christian ) bullies. “Since you are being overwhelmed we will give you a narrative that justifies the mass intrusion”. I no buy.

Aloha from the Island of Maui, SMK! Pu'u Honua O Pi'iholo! The "Christian God" loves You so much, He and His Son, created a plan for you to live forever in His eternal Kingdom! Did you know you are mentioned in His Word? Here is what He says to you, "You MUST be born again to see and enter the Kingdom of God!" The history of the Hawai'ian Kingdom, as is revealed by the wonderful and historically researched work done by the Council of Regency and others, as found in the Hawai'ian Kingdom Blog, will be absorbed into the Kingdom of God - after it has served the purpose for which He brought it onto the Worldstage! However my God does care if you believe Him - or not! For if you believe the Truth of His Word, you will inherit a Kingdom that endures forever! And the gates of hell WILL NEVER PREVAIL AGAINST IT! The choice is yours! Eternal life in a perfect Kingdom - forever, that the Hawai'ian Kingdom was a pale shadow of, or, eternal death! You see, Dr. Williams isn't projecting his own opinion here. It's the manaʻo of our kūpuna. He's reading, word-for-word, exactly how ka poʻe kahiko felt about their own conversion.

The point you raise about slavery was not lost on Christians of that time period - that's why most, maybe even all, abolitionists were Christians, usually working within the activism framework of their church. Churches aren't very activist anymore, but civic society in the US was much more structured in the past. Also note that the UK, which was much more Christian in the same time period, went on a national crusade to end slavery, even issuing ultimata to several countries (notably the Ottoman empire) to end slavery or the British would end it for them. This led to the famous Battle of Gallipoli - probably not a wise strategic move, imo, but the event was caused by Christians pushing to end slavery. Now, all that said, I think it's terrible that Christian evangelism had such a destructive effect on Hawaiian people. Evil does tend to slip in under the cover of moral camouflage and Christians should be the first people condemning wrongdoings that pretend to be Christian.

There is a prophetic reason why the Lord inspired our Queen to put that reference of Naboth's Vineyard in her plea/warning, to America! For those with eyes to "see!" The relationship between the United States of America and the Hawai'ian Kingdom is in there! And the reason why the Lord has allowed the relationship between America, Hawai'i, and the world to develop to the point - to where we will realize that without the Righteousness of Jesus Christ, we will fail in our effort for true Justice, Peace, and Reconciliation!
