I've owned a 2013 ATS 2.0T for over 4 years. It's been a great car. I put 60,000 miles on it, now it has 145k. Average fuel economy is consistently 28+ mpg. Only mechanical repair I had to do was replace a coil pack and that was only a couple hundred bucks. Still runs smoothly and I'm planning on giving it to my daughter soon for her first car.

I have a '16 ATS. I have fold-down rear seats backs, so the trunk is huge. Over the last 32,000 miles, I've averaged 31 MPG. Okay, I drive it quite carefully, it has the 2.0 turbo, and it's a stick shift. The runflats wore out long ago, so I didn't put runflats back on. Duh! Easy fix. I only rarely have someone in the backseat, so that's not a problem. I'm no crazy about the controls on the dash, but I contend it's what you get used to. Once you've used them for a while and get used to their quirks, it's just fine. The looks of this car, the handling, and the ride are better than anything from Japan or Europe.

I totally agree with you on the run flat tires, they are so horrible. I have a '17 ATS and the tires that came with the car are expensive, noisy, ride too rough, can't grip snow very well, and makes the handling of the vehicle feel like a cheap car. I recently bought 4 new regular all seasons for less than the cost of run flats, and they are ten times better. It pretty much brought the smooth handling back to life

Did your 2017 come w/ a spare tire? Mine did not. My dealer said that is why Caddi put on the run flats, so they could do away with a spare tire. So what is your plan for when you have a flat tire? Just curious, as I may follow your lead when I go to replace these run flats.

I just got a 2016 luxury coupe in September of last year with a little over 31k miles and she's a dream. In 2016 they gave cue a new processor and I had the Android auto update installed at a dealership and both totally bring the car up to speed with the competition infotainment wise. They also gave it an 8 speed auto to replace the 6 speed auto and gave a power bump to some of the engines around that year. The car does have some weird issues that Cadillac addresses in tsbs and tells people to basically ignore because the issues in question don't affect reliability of the powertrain and i have some issues with some squeaks and rattles (and my local dealer has helped isolate most of them) but the ats really is an amazing value and a great drivers car. I plan on doing some bolt on mods from either zzp or Vermont tuning to keep the smiles per gallon high. Great video dude! 👍

So what people I believe don’t know, the touch sensitive buttons under the radio… the only part of the black plastic that is touch is the heated seats. The other buttons are the silver buttons under the symbols. So any lag is because you’re pressing the black and not the silver and by chance, you’re probably hitting the silver bits occasionally, thus, presenting the “lag” that you’re experiencing.
@RDMotoring
@RDMotoring Жыл бұрын
My passengers used to try to touch the silver trim thinking it was the buttons (it definitely looks it) but they aren't the controls, it's the haptic spaces above it.

I have a 2013 3.6 performance awd I purchased in 2016. The dealer replaced the Cue at no cost to me and it’s been working fine. As for the room not everyone is 6’4. I’m 6’ and have plenty of room. I don’t have back seat passengers though. The MPG’s are okay for me as I don’t drive it every day. The AWD will lower the MPG’s some. If you want more cargo space get an SUV. I replaced the tires with conventional ones and the ride is better and steering seems a little easier. I’ll be keeping mine for a few more years as I’m still enjoying it.

The only thing I can say to improve your experience with CUE is not to treat the touch-sensitive areas as "buttons". They are areas of touch. I just put my fingers on the area I need to and rest it there until I get to the desired setting. To keep tapping the area just feels stupid. It works more smoothly that way for me.

the first one I would have to disagree with you on lol. I love the old fashion where you have to use the nozzo to get all the buttons functioning. you know all that but I love the cue system. I feel like Cadillac could have done better with their tires to be honest and back seats I have mixed feelings for. the trunk space. I wish it was bigger but again we are in a small CTS lol so there's not much we could expect I was able to fit me which is 5'11 and my little cousins which are 4 ft something inside the trunk. was it a good idea? no were you able to fit? Yes where we comfortable eh not so much but we were yet still able to fit. gas is kind of interesting. sometime it's a week to 2 weeks of gas where I don't have to spend any money, but when you're on it, it drains like a Corvette or a Camaro SS. I absolutely love my car, it's great! off-roading and it's amazing in the snow. I have all-wheel drive and automatic and mine is also a sedan the best. very very very happy with what I got. there could be some improvements but my car is also a 13

2018 ATS 2.0T. Average 31 mpg. I' m 5' 7" so it fits nicely around me and my son fits in the back seat. I can burnout with this thing. No torque steer when punching it as I had with my Nissan Maxima, that thing almost put me into the ditch. So it's an amazing car for me, my wife and my son. Trunk is great for groceries and back seat splits and folds down for long things or extra trunk space. So basically it works for me but you kinda forgot to measure before buying.

2015 ATS 3.6 PREMIUM PKG SEDAN 1. The QUE screen has been replaced 3 times - twice under warranty, once by me. The BS you have to go through to get to it.... If it happens again, I'll be driving it into the Houston Ship Channel 2. Run flats - HATED THEM!!! You could feel every every divot between each granule of asphalt, thru your teeth!! Ordered FIVE (5!!!) Cadillac Special Edition Black Chrome 18"x10" Wheels, with Bridgestone DriveGuard 245x40xR18-97W tires. 1000% improvement! Handles better, drives smoother, last longer because you can actually rotate them across the vehicle, and it looks so much better!! OH! AND NOW I HAVE A SPARE TIRE 3. 6'3" here and i BARELY fit in the back. I don't know how you squeezed in. It is DEFINITELY tight, and why i will NEVER ride back there again. 4. You are definitely running that car with a clubbed foot. I'll get 22-25mpg. HOWEVER, i did install a CAI, mass air flow meter, MSD ignition coils & wires with NGK spark plugs. It livened her up quite a bit, but no more choppy rough idle, better throttle response, and the exhaust note changed drastically. As if i installed a full exhaust with headers. 5. This thing drinks oil!! Have to add a quart at the 3000 mile mark, which is about 5000 miles too soon using MOBIL-1 5W-30. Swapped to AMSOIL 10W-30 and the oil consumption dropped, while fuel mileage increased and engine temps decreased by 25-30°F. 6. TRANSMISSION - Haven't had a single issue with it, but had to replace the rear passenger axle TWICE and i think it's going out again at 104K miles. Don't know WTF and neither does Cadillac.

Just my 2 cents- I agree with you on all 5 dislikes. My 2018 ATS has the CUE system and it is very quirky. It locks up 2-3X a week, sometimes the NAV wont work, sometimes the volume control wont work, etc. It's been replaced by the Caddi dealer with no change. The car drives like a Sherman tank w/ the run flats. The gas mileage may be because it is full time AWD and a heavy car. The ATS is a downsize version of the CTS, so very little rear leg room. And I will add one more thing, actually two- there is no gas cap. Come on GM! And to make things worse my Premium Lux model doesn't have a locking gas filler door. Nothing. It opens by pressing the door. Cheers.

Its not a heavy car at 3418 to 3600 pounds , which is all of em coupe n sedan. My 2018 cue system works great, treat it like a touch screen and not a typewriter. Who needs rear leg room in a coupe. Not me. The gas door locks when the fob isn't near. As for the run flats blame the shitty roads and vote out lousy politicians who don’t fix em. Lastly. Some people just are never happy. You sound like one.
@steadyeddie7453
@steadyeddie7453 7 ай бұрын
@@Otis_Art The car is notorious for CUE system problems. My model is a sedan, so yes, my adult passengers require leg room. No, the fuel filler door does not lock, ever. It wasn't designed to lock on the Premium Lux model. And still no gas cap under that unsecured door. Can't blame the shitty roads for the shitty tires. I drove my car for 2 years throughout Germany. Their highways are pristine and the car still drove like it was on solid tires. Am I an unhappy person? No. We obviously have different standards. If you enjoy your Caddi then great. You got a good one. But stop trying to redirect blame to the owners for poor manufacturing when there are countless forums calling out the issues.

Number one? Clean and pause the touch area's real good once a month. More patience 2? You'll love them run flats if you have a flat.😅3? Back seat space. Tall people can get in the back. As long as there are no tall people in the front. When I was doing Uber? I kept my passenger seat pulled way up. Thomas person said on the passenger side shorter person sat on the driver's side. But once I had 2 6'6" 300lb guys in the back. About a 25 minute ride. I pulled the sea and was an uncomfortable overdriver for about thirty minutes. 4? Trunk space? It's a cadillac. That's not supposed to be loaded with a bunch of stuff.😅.5? Fuel efficiency? It's kind of a sport car. But to say fuel, Something I learned after about a year doing uber. I'm assuming the fuel efficiency is lackluster Due to the use of the a c. Turn the a c button off in the winter. One at once a month just to exercise it. Summertime-Turn on the AC. Put it on recycle air. Anytime you have to Get on the highway, or you're thinking about doing some passing? Toggle the a c off. ( Toggle on Resurculate pryor to hitting the snow or a c button.) - This will keep the recycle on while turning the ac on and off. While ubering,, This meant the difference in using 4 tanks of gas. In 5 hours,plus going home pretty empty,& using two, and a 1/2 takes a gas in a matter of the same 5 hours & similar distance.

Well, unless the people up front are 6ft and over. The ATS is just a luxury Camaro. CUE system blows though. Also, IDK why the wheels are so small. I have a 2016 ATS AWD Luxury ..... You haven't experienced the insanely pitiful 9011HIR halogen bulbs with the flap that bleeds light, what a Joke ....!!! They are hands down THE WORST headlights I've experienced on a car in over 50 years of car ownership ......!!! I've got them pretty decent by using 9005 Sylvania ZXE bulbs , and re- aiming ... My Cue system failed quickly and the replacement behaves beautifully but I agree the touch controls are a real pain in the ass .... The OEM Michelin Primacy whatevers are among the Worst Tires Ever .... hard, noisy, make rubbing sounds on the rims .... they just Suck !!! I'm in the Northeast ....So I put Pirelli Soterozzo 3 runflats... ( only $150 each ! ) all the way around and can't get over the quiet cushioned positive change in ride with minimal handling problems ....Now I can't corner at 100 mph. But I never did anyway ....lol..! I agree .... no room in back or trunk ... but instead of a little crap box , This is definitely fun to get around in. Mine has the 2.0L turbo and it's REALLY Quick .... even with the snows on ... And I usually use Regular and can't feel any difference whatsoever .... The 16 has the 8 speed tranny so the milage is a little better 20 around town but up to 26 - 27 on the highway .... And hands down the car just looks Good !!! And going from 2013 to 19 without a major design change, it's not very noticeable what year you have.

The Cue system pre 2016 models are trash. Also I’d stay away from the 3.6L V6 engines more than a few mechanics I know told me to stay away from that engine. I have 2016 ATS Coupe rwd 2.0T performance trim. Only 19mpg?? I drive in the city 99% of the time in the sport mode and my average mpg is roughly about 24-25mpg. IMO the Coupes look so much better than the sedans especially when you throw in the fact the space in the back is literally the same in the sedan as the coupe. If you’re looking for a car w/ roomy back seats idk why you would buy or be looking to buy a sport sedan/grand touring car?? Again for the trunk space complaint idk why you would expect a vehicle of this class to have one is beyond me. Sounds like you wanted or expected crossover/suv passenger vehicle in a sports sedan/grand tourer. Did you not open the trunk and look at the space in the back before you bought the car??
