❤️ I embraced my natural grey over the pandemic lockdowns - the last time I dyed it was Feb 2020. I haven’t gotten it cut either since (minus a couple at home little trims) - so it’s also sooooo long. I think I’m waiting to cut it until I’m happy with my grey length enough that I can just cut off all the dyed hair at the bottom. Almost there and can’t wait!! But I love what you said about wishing you’d done it earlier and how it feels amazing to be happy and proud of something that is naturally you. I have dyed my hair since high school because I love mixing it up and playing with color. But at some point over the past few years, it became less about wanting to have fun and more of a stress - because my hair grows super fast and I would have to get it colored almost every month. My roots made me feel sloppy and old. When my stylist told me at my last appointment Feb 2020 that if I wanted to ever embrace my color he would help me transition - I was shocked. Did I really have that much grey? And why in the world would I do that?!? But then as I saw my roots get longer and all my natural grey - I made a decision. I could buy some box dye or I could see what happened. Honestly, without the pandemic I may not have ever done it - because getting past those first few early months was HARD - and if I had been going to work etc, would have been harder. But now that I’m here? I’m always saying how I wish I’d done it sooner. I love it so freaking much. And I do have to say, the one thing I personally have experienced differently than you, is that I feel like I’ve encountered the opposite in terms of acceptance. The amount of compliments I get on my hair weekly - from women of all ages (and even some men!) - I never have gotten compliments like that about anything before in my life. Women tell me that they have seen more women embracing it and that they love it. Someone at work the other day stopped me to say how she’s seen me around and wanted to tell me how much she loves it and then show me an Instagram account of a woman who has done the same - and then another woman joined us in the conversation. I’ve also had women tell me “I wish I could do that” or “if my grey looked like yours I would do it too” - but like you said, it has to be the right time for everyone. Of course I do still get comments like “that’s your natural color?!? You’re too young!!” But overall I do think that from my experience I’m feeling more of a positive feeling of women embracing the grey (or wanting to) and I feel like it’s part of a societal evolution maybe - hopefully. Done rambling! But loved your video and you and started following!

Next week will be 2 years of growing out my grey hair. I'm gonna get the final cut next month and will be fully silver at 34 years old. I truly love it now! I think it's actually a unique look ;) Your videos really helped me embrace it. I love your attitude to ageing, I think about it often. Thank you for sharing your story.

Wow your hair looks amazing! I’m 33 and have had greys since 15 or so.. but my hair is naturally black so it looks a bit witchy… I’m still trying to grow it out because Ron tired of damaging my hair.

Love this post! I totally relate to everything here! I've been growing out my hair for almost 4 years to donate, I also dye my greys. So, that one last hair cut will get me closer to allowing grey to be. I admit I am nervous/interested to see what the demarcation line will look like, but also not looking forward to the rest of the growing out process, even though my plan is to keep it short/medium length.

Hi 👋 nice to see a new video from you. Hair is looking great 😍 i would love to hear more about the texture and how you look after your hair now it's all length natural hair. I would love to hear. I am 34, regrowing my roots, I am now over one year I stopped dying my hair in Nov 2020 , it's a slow process for me. But I feel better with myself. I just think it's so special to be able to be the natural way embrace it and love it about yourself. I think it's very special.

Thanks! To be honest, I don't do very much different right now. My hair is straight, fine and on the oily side, so I don't add any oils or too many products. I kind of just accept that there will be frizz, but if I'm trying to make my hair look nice, I do some hairspray. I also use a pomade to smooth down stubborn flyaways. I don't heat style my hair very often because I work from home and I can let my hair air dry. I feel like that helps. But if you have dry hair, an oil or serum should really help.

Thank you. Mine is similar quite oily since I stopped bleaching it. I am planning to start using some natural clay on the scalp but while I still have quite a bit of blond bleached parts of my hair they will just dry up more with clay so no point right now. My hair is not gray, but the natural color is dark blonde so also very cool toned. It was such a good decision to regrow, there is still not that many videos on you tube about regrowing hair. But I hear it is also healthy choice as hairdyes generally have bad ingredients in them that can penetrate through skin surface. Anyways! Thank you, I can't wait till mine is a bit grown. I think the pink temporary hair dye suited you so much, can't wait to experiment with stuff like that too.

I love your hair! I am on a journey to growing out my natural blonde hair, I don't have any greys at the moment but to be honest, I don't think I want to deal with the stress of dying my hair every month because of my roots. So my plan is to accept my natural colour first, and then, when the time comes, I will see how I look with my greys. Why not. Why do we have do deal with dying our hair every 4 weeks if we don't want to do that?I hope I will be able to love and accept my hair.

Aging is normal But for a lot of people is a problem If you don't dye your grey hair they look at you like what is going on with her 🤔 My last dye was 2 months ago My hair is very long and black Soo is very notorious 🤭 I'm excited seeing my hair grow Is like I'm waiting for something very value I wanna have a very long grey hair is gonna take years I know but is what my heart want. I probably look older? I don't know.... I don't care Look older is not a crime I will do what makes me happy. Thank to share, lovely video ❤ Your natural hair is beautiful!!!

So to the point! I remember when i let my grey grow a couple of years ago, i watched a video of you saying for the 3-4 first months' straggle, it definitely was, not for me but for others to understand why i was doing this at my age. To tell you the truth i straggle more when i gain weight just because i am responsible for this, but for my hair or my expression wrinkles absolutely not! Thank you yet for another video, i adore your authenticity!

You look phenomenal, I love your honesty and you're right in everything you say. Especially the bit about ageing and death, how we have an unhealthy relationship with it. It's the one thing that is inevitable in life, that happens to us all, we need to talk about it and normalise talking about it.

My grey hair is the most fun I have had in yrs with my hair. Its longer now than it looks in my profile pic here but I want it long long. It does take some yrs to get it long and I imagine by next summer I will be mostly there. No maintenance for me really- its so easy. I dont do purple shampoo bc its very damaging for me.
