The documentary was great, it was really interesting to hear more about his life and in the description box I’ve linked the article about Eric Sakas talking about the doco/working with Kevyn if your on interested

super interesting! i’m going to add that documentary to my watch list. apricot is peach, but a touch more pink. mac blush in the color melba, is a good example. if you enjoy classic makeup art. lisa eldridge does a similar style of base makeup, so does wayne goss. if you want more of a regular person, allie glines is good. for classic eyes looks, john maclean is very good and incredibly funny. i have tried vapour beauty, very nice, but kind of boring lol. ... definitely do the other books! also lisa eldridge has a history of makeup book
@Pruelaroo5 жыл бұрын
Hmm I thought it be a bit more orange, that’s interesting. I’ve tried watching some of Lisa’s video but because I’ve been looking for that specific method, I’ve watched a lot of Wayne who is great to watch! I’ll have to check out Allie out, and that’s interesting about John. And that’s great to hear! I could see how it’d be a bit boring. Thank you so much!

My mom got me this book when I was in high school and I managed to lose it in the many moves I've had over my lifetime but I am obsessed with the Tori Amos Ingenue photo in that book. We should collab trying to recreate some of these looks. I'll have to buy the book again but it'll be well worth it!
@Pruelaroo5 жыл бұрын
Haha it's such a great book! And omg it's so easy to loose books! And I'll have to go and have another look at Tori Amos!

Found your Channel searching the Making Faces book 😁 I haven't worn MakeUp in so many years because the summer months are a nightmare for me. I want to Try again, my face so dry & old that I don't know where to start (Moisturizer, LoL). Love your video 🤗

Haha I am so glad! I enjoyed reading that book: I have the rae morris but I haven't finished it yet! And summer is so hard: I am just melting right now! You absolutely should get back into it! It's so much fun! My apologies for the late reply!

Kevyn Aucoin was such an icon, and this video was really fun to watch! I think I'll try and find this book at the library and check it out

It’s definitely worth a read! I’m reading Rae Morris’s right now and that one is great too. I just love reading about makeup though 😂

I’ve been wanting to bleach my brows just for the heck of it 😂 I also skip out on foundation whenever my skin is looking extra good! I like the look of natural skin peaking through though

Go for it! I’m so curious. I’m not feeling game to do it because I could so easily screw it up 😂 And interesting! I think I dong ever really like my skin enough to skip foundation 😂

I have been tempted by the other books, but the Rae Morris book I bought has been great. I am enjoying reading everyone's approaches to makeup. As I have no training in makeup I am always keen to learn and read as much as I can about it. It's truly an obsession that rules my life with joy.

I've been curious about this book FOREVER, and now I'm tempted to get it (or at least check it our from the library like the old fart that I am). The bleached eyebrow bit sold me. I used to bleach my eyebrows and I always really liked it, so that might be worth trying again just to fly in the face of the "instagram brows" trend.
@Pruelaroo5 жыл бұрын
It’s a good interesting, it doesn’t explain how to bleach your brows unfortunately though. Rae Morris’s book is really great for tips but this is definitely worth a read!

I haven’t watched the documentary, but it sounds interesting! I’ve actually never seen any books like that. Do they give the same types of tips and stuff? Great video! 😁❤️

It’s definitely worth a watch, it should just be on Netflix! And a lot of makeup artists have books out there like this, going through all different steps. I’m not sure how I found out about them but Making Faces is recommended a lot to beginners, I’m really enjoying the Rae Morris book at the moment. They tend to be brand specific but if you like reading and pictures they are a great read.

That’s interesting, I bought it from book depository which I think is on the UK? But there are so many books like this out there now, I’ve just seen this book recommended a lot on the inter webs.
