I paid £1050 for my e46 but it was rotten, swapped with a guy that had a 1.2 corsa c, had that for 3 months, sold it for £800, had a bit saved up, spent £1200 on a MK3 Mondeo ST 2.2 TDCi. Subframe is knackered so got a guy who wants to swap me for his prefacelift 318i, don't mind about the power drop, a more reliable car is needed for the journey to work. Collecting tomorrow, can't wait. Its only an SE but it has full leather interior in cream, iDrive system, automatic, only issues are a small crack in windscreen and heater blower needs sorting, valued at £2200, I've got a bargain considering mine was up for £1195

Looks like you need DSC unit or speed sensor replacement. I got same warning lights on recently on my 2008 E90 318d. Good luck!

Are you worried about the timing chain problem with these cars because i want to buy a 318d but people talking about reliability is the only thing stopping me
@BIGHUS Жыл бұрын
318d is Solid. No timing chain problems yet and I have the m47 engine. I used to have the 320d n47 engine (you can find this in my older videos about what happened to it) and the timing chain snapped and then it was cheaper for me to buy this car than to repair that engine as it caused engine block damage

the m47 engine does not have any timing chain problems unlike the n47/n57 has. i have been told that you dont need to replace it. both the m47 and the m57 is solid on this part, but i have heard that it ''eats'' other parts but i have had my 320d now for a year and i have not had any problem with it. can be recommended to do a swirl flap and EGR delete too. if hp is something you wory about i would go with the 2.0L aka the 320d, as it has 163 hp from factory. and its the same engine block as the 1.8l aka 318d, but this is just a tip.
