5 Things I Like and Don't Like About the 2024 Mustang

I have my 2024 convertible eco boost for almost a month and it’s been great. Love all the looks. In and out. Acceleration is fantastic. Most difficult thing is working the sound system and figuring out how to change stations and play different sources. Also agree that I would like knobs for a/c and heat and defrost!

For the base engine, performance is great, especially at the price point. I just drove a V6 Challenger this week and the Ecoboost performs so much better. The mustang feels a lot more modern too. Enjoy the car man! 👍

I just test drove the eco boost convertible yesterday and am leaning toward it; I agree about the climate control n radio. I have a 430i but am ready for the new mustang

I have a 2018 with a 2024 Ecoboost on order. Some things I agree with you on, first the climate controls, yes, they should be physical. The tail light cut needs some getting accustomed to, know I like it. One thing for sure back to back driving the 2024 feels better. One more the screens look like an afterthought, if they had integrated them into an updated dual cowl dash that would have been ideal.

Yea, I've driven a few of the previous gen Ecoboost and this one definitely drives better. And I agree, a dual cowl dash would have been an awesome idea. I still like that the dash is so configurable though.

there's a borla exhaust sound box for the mach-e a system that pumps "fake" sound on the outside .. what i find interesting is that they have that sound on the inside and not a speaker on the outside ( which 100%) they could do , to address peoples complaint that it doesn't sound like the GT . if you think that's an odd this to say , check out that borla exhaust box system for the mach-e , yes it's fake , but it sounds is bang on , and and if that's a big complaint , why not , especially if you go to the trouble of pumping it in on the inside of the car a stock feature ..

The fact it doesn’t come manual and NO paddle shifters is an insult, they really said eco is a rental car now

What’s the color specification of the car ?? Is this the base ecoboost with no additional packages ?

I believe the color is Race Red. It's just a base Ecoboost with the 101A equipment package.

How do they get fake engine noise like is it playing through the speaker?

Yea, on most cars it plays through the speakers.

If you put the car in normal mode it's reduced. Not sure if you can turn it off while in the Sport/Track modes

It's the new gen so we'll need to see about reliability overall but I heard the Ecoboost is a good engine if maintained properly.

True, but since it's Direct Injected you can squeeze more power out of it pretty easily, especially if you go with Ethanol.
