Many years ago my husband and I emigrated from Germany to Dubai. They were great years. Then we started a company in Thailand and built our first house. I stayed in Thailand to oversee the construction work. Visa runs for years. But the change was hard. I often cried, all the dirt and the hoarding of the Thais was a huge minus point. We are now divorced, friends now and I look after his properties here. That way my retirement won't be boring. He continues to run our business in Dubai. But I never ride a bike here, I love my old pickups.
