Thanks for the inspiration RJ, after i started watching motovlogs (especially yours) i went from no license to full license in 3 months. Riding is fucking amazing, and it's given me something to live for. Screw being stuck in a tin can on your way to your concrete cage, now i'll have fun at least twice a day come rain or sunshine.

Beautiful bike. I'm in the process of deciding if I want the extra expense of monthly payments to own something so amazingly savage, yet supremely usable. Every summer I travel the US and North America on a Honda VFR, and I too find that 150(ish) miles between stops is about perfect. The five minutes the entire process takes is a great refresh, and (as important) an easy way to tell if more rest is needed.

In Europe there is commonly laws about day running lights and high beams. This is BMW's idea of using those as inspiration (I know where I live it is not allowed for bikes to have both low and high on at same time) for their headlights. It is all just a design of day running light and high beam light, might be some thought behind the way it lights up road as well but all in all its all just new thinking :). You can look at the S1000rr as well and see teh way they have done it on that bike as well

Owain 199 Isn't the Grom a little small for someone who is 6 feet 2?
@owain19968 жыл бұрын
Not really, Rj isn't small, JaketheGardenSnake has one hes also tall. I choose that out of his bikes because the S1000, ktm and the Nuda would get you into trouble very fast. The Dt's are too rare for someone new to potentially ruin IMO. The SMR might be a good choice but it also has incredibly fast acceleration, not ideal for a first time rider. A dirtbike is a good start to learn the basics. That's how I started then moved to a Honda Varadero XL 125 at 16

Hello RJ, greetings from California. I am a female rider of 2 years and purchased a 2017 model a couple months ago. I have to ride it everyday or I have withdrawals. Iv'e done quite a few mods to the bike but have not yet decided on the exhaust. Just not sure what to do. The 2017 model comes with a slip on Akra exhaust and it sounds OK but I would like something louder, (and the can is quite large). I'm nervous about removing the cat, and this bike comes with a 3 year warranty. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thank you.
@royaljordanian6 жыл бұрын
To get any decent sound, you need to remove the CAT and go with a full system as most of the sound deadening is in the CAT these days. Doing that means you will need a PCV and map it on a dyno.
