Thanks for the inspiration RJ, after i started watching motovlogs (especially yours) i went from no license to full license in 3 months. Riding is fucking amazing, and it's given me something to live for. Screw being stuck in a tin can on your way to your concrete cage, now i'll have fun at least twice a day come rain or sunshine.

I fully agree. I have the '16 s1000r and ride in in Texas, and with the roads here in Houston, it's remarkably comfortable. I like the power, so I can pull away from all the trucks, out here to kill me. I am ok with the sound, after I put on a Akra slip-on, but I love the Austin exhaust you have. That's what I am going to do. Thanks for the tip!

This is the one I've been waiting for :) I've had mine 2+ years also and every time I ride it blows me away how awesome it is. Looks are subjective, I just love it though! Really want to remove the CAT but worried it will ruin the mid-range torque. I'd be grateful if you could offer some advice on what you did RJ.
@royaljordanian
@royaljordanian 8 жыл бұрын
If you remove it's best to fit a PCV and a remap, before the pcv, accelerate hard and I would say, quick, after tuning, accelerate and I would say, holy shit. You can see the dyno graphs on my website.

I totally agree with you. I never would chose the S1000R in first place, because for me the front looks to ugly. BUT as my bike was in service i got her as loan bike.. and boy was it a pleasure to ride her. Like you said she drives like nothing else i have ever ridden before and on top of that the lovely sound, even of the stock exhaust. And when you riding her you don't have to see the front! ;)

Beautiful bike. I'm in the process of deciding if I want the extra expense of monthly payments to own something so amazingly savage, yet supremely usable. Every summer I travel the US and North America on a Honda VFR, and I too find that 150(ish) miles between stops is about perfect. The five minutes the entire process takes is a great refresh, and (as important) an easy way to tell if more rest is needed.

Awesome vid RJ. I can't get enough of that bikes sound in your vids. The nuda and the s1000r sound amazing in different ways. If they're linked brakes....one would slightly twist the throttle while slowly letting go of the right brake lever? as opposed to slowly getting of the rear brake pedal as you feel the bike pulling?

Bhp = brake horsepower, which means the amount of power (HP) produced and measured at the engine's crankshaft. So the brake or net or crankshaft horsepower rate is always bigger than the wheel (true) hp. As a result, you can't legit say "160 bhp on the wheel". Btw nice video and phenomenal bike.

In Europe there is commonly laws about day running lights and high beams. This is BMW's idea of using those as inspiration (I know where I live it is not allowed for bikes to have both low and high on at same time) for their headlights. It is all just a design of day running light and high beam light, might be some thought behind the way it lights up road as well but all in all its all just new thinking :). You can look at the S1000rr as well and see teh way they have done it on that bike as well
