I'm 60. I only use a warm washcloth in the morning to cleanse if I double cleansed at night. Then I use a moisturizer followed by sunscreen. At night, I will single or double cleanse (depending if I wore makeup), followed by tretinoin or 10% glycolic acid serum (I alternate those every other day). After those dry I follow with caster oil and seal that in with a thicker moisturizer. I tried vitamin C but it sucked the life out of my skin. Everything is pulled down to chest and neck. I also use an eye cream which has firmed the loose skin on my eyelids about 60%. It's the PCA eye cream in the little jar. Took about 3-4 month of consistent use.

You look stunning. I'm the same age as you and look much older than you. I wash my face with Dove bar soap and use Nivea in the blue tin as moisteriser in the day and castor oil at night. Thank you for sharing such great information and showing how and explaining why.

I was just thinking last night while being surrounded by all my cleansers and creams etc about how all my older lady relatives had beautiful skin in their late 60s,70’s, 80’s and even 90’s….and how they didn’t have all these products, most of them used either cold cream or just Dove soap to remove make up and followed with a moisturizer…. sometimes I wonder if all of these things I buy are really beneficial?

Genetics definitely plays a huge part. I am just so thankful for skincare because I had such horrible acne and the products the dermatologist gave me saved my skin. Acne can really play with your self esteem. ❤️❤️❤️

Thanks so much MaryEllen for sharing your experience. One thing I have learned these past few years is that products don’t work for everyone. Also, “natural” does not mean it will not cause a reaction. I have had my fair share of reactions to natural products. Hope that you have a blessed week! Love you!❤️❤️

Great video and tips Laura! I have had normal to dry sensitive skin as far back as I remember but aging (60) and chemotherapy have taken a toll on my skin this past year. Finding products for my dry/very dry sensitive skin that does not irritate more has been a fun and at times disappointing challenge, not to mention expensive. Even affordable/drugstore products are pricey and if they do not work expensive. The area that I am having the most difficult time with is lip products, my favorite product is Clarins Lip Oil. Still on the quest for a lip balm with or without color. I do have Tower 28-pink but often more comes out than is necessary and runs all over the top making a huge mess.

Thank you so much for sharing this. Have you tried the Sara Happ balm? They are a little pricey but I just love the sheen and they last a long time on my lips.❤️❤️

If the vitamin C you are using is ascorbic acid then it should have a pH of 3.0-3.5 and it should be applied to clean dry skin and allowed to absorb before you apply any other products so that the low pH required is sustained for the vitamin C. Unfortunately vitamin C cannot do anything to prevent sagging skin. Sagging is caused by the loss of bone density as we age, the shifting of fat pads under the skin, and the loss of collagen and elastin in the skin from sun damage. Vitamin C cannot help with any of those issues. The only prevent benefits from vitamin C when topically applied are as a brightener and an antioxidant. Claims of increasing collagen, etc is only prevent when applied to skin cells in a lab.
