I agree with #4 so much! Lately guys have been saying to me “oh you look like you have money.” I will ask them why and they say “oh you take care of yourself very well. Your hair is done, your makeup is nice, your nails are done, and you have an expensive bag.” I feel like they are waiting for me to say “oh no, I don’t have money, I’m just broke.” I WILL NOT SAY IT O! They’re looking for a way to bring their nonsense to my life and I dont have time. Usually my response to them is, “So I look like I have money because I take care of myself?” And then they will say “Yes.” Honestly I think we as women should take care of themselves no matter how much we have and conversations like this that I have with guys make me think what kind of girls are they dealing with? Are the girls they’re dating not taking care of themselves? As for me, I work as an engineer, so I can’t go around anyhow. I usually shop right after leaving work, and I dont go to work looking any and all types of ways, so I can understand why they would think that. Idk o, it’s not my portion. I’m a firm believer that when you look good, you feel good. I don’t do it for any man, but if a man does choose to approach me, I want him to understand who he is approaching 🤷🏾‍♀️.
