Some great insights there, Jim. I totally agree with being able to stand up while getting dressed....whether it's in a caravan or camper trailer. You've seen my caravan upgrade build, so I have no doubt you'll work your magic on your own build/renovation....and I look forward to seeing the video series. PS. when will we see more of the Brumby build???

Thanks mate. The Brumby is back in the shed and about to get worked over, videos before Christmas.

I enjoyed the build video and this is all really good advice. Take some of your own advice and have a week or so away in a hire caravan before you start laying out the dollars.

Wow, I’ve got the same van all set up like a camper just like yours. But seriously, $900 or more for registration? Mine’s been sitting for about five years, and I was planning to get it back on the road and re-register it. I thought the $680 I was paying before was already a lot. This feels like highway robbery! I'll probably go ahead and do my trip then sell it.

It won’t be $680 anymore!! If you’re in Vic you won’t have much left of $900 either! You could look into joining a car club and putting your van on club rego if it fits your state’s requirements for this. Enjoy your trip!
