One of the best things for me was learning to actually use my Scav runs to actually, like, scavenge. When I started out, I was like "hey free kit" and just went around shooting everything I saw like I was playing PMC. Now, I use Scav runs to go try to find unlooted bodies of maybe someone who died to AI and get some free armor/helmet/gun/ammo, whatever. Or go check to see if someone missed some graphics cards in a tech store or skipped over some rooms in Resort or something. All while walking past the AI because I have a free pass. Sometimes I'll do a Scav run and never shoot a single shot, but I'll walk about with 500k worth of stuff.

I love Dark Souls but none of those games have ever filled me with the level of anxiety I get playing Tarkov. I think the main reason is that in Tarkov you're not dealing with Swords, Bows and Crossbows -- you're dealing with firearms. You can literally be shot and killed in an instant from someone you can't even see, especially if they have thermal, so it's just the "any second now I am going to die" aspect of the game especially with each second you survive. By the time you get close to extract, it only just ramps up because you're like "I'm too close, this can't be this easy, there's gonna be an exit camper or something" but when you hear the successful extract music you're like "Oh my God I made it". Most rewarding, frustrating yet tense game ever in my opinion.

I have an idea for a video you should make. Take a lengthy and successful raid that youve done, and pull it up and go through without any skips and pause occasionally and talk about what is #1 in your head at that moment #2 What is some potential options that you have to tackle the situation and #3 quickly discuss alternate things you could have done, or other people can do in similar situations. I think it would help us all out alot and i know i would greatly appreciate it. I struggle so hard in tarkov with just finding something to do that truly motivates me like it used to. Now i just get in raid, run to the biggest hot spot, and hope i find some geared ppl. It gets really repetitive and i just wanna know when in the raid should you loot areas? When to scavenge gear? When to hide? When to know if you can take a fight or not? etc... I could go on but i wont, im sure you get what im saying. I used to make money on the fleamarket so I could actually play the game with decent gear. I'd buy low and sell high to trader or back on fleamarket. I have a broken neck, back and severe nerve damage. I can't play for the time required in raid to get good stuff. Now that my option of flea market has been removed ( and I never used bots even though I was competing with bots to buy / sell but I'd look for different items if a category was full of bots and I'd be very successful in a very short time ). In the time of 1 raid spanned over several sittings I could get 5+m I can't do that anymore meaning the game is basically unplayable because I rarely have the ability to sit and use my arms for that amount of time. It really sucks that accessibility was removed instead of simply banning bots and fixing the time desync on fleamarket to give everyone an equal chance to buy instead of having it sold before the buy button is even available for the majority of players. Instead of fixing the bugs, it makes the game unplayable to a lot of disabled individuals because now we can't use a method to gain money which we can use 5 minutes at a time and get enough to go into a raid with decent gear when we have the ability to..

A good thing to do is to learn a specific weapon. My weapon to go is an AKS-74U and using bs ammo, it is pretty cheap, common on scavs. Since it usually has the highest recoil of the aks, it makes people not take the gun and you'll usually get it back from insurance. Even when you mod the gun out, most people would just take the attachments to save space so you'll get it back pretty often. Find a gun you like and are used to and learn how to effectively use it.

The easiest way I found to make money is in between raids buy an expensive commodity that gets bought and sold all the time, or buy something cheap from a trader, like ammo and then mark it up 10-15% depending on how expensive it is. Let's say you buy 2000 rounds worth of 7.62x39 PS ammo, fairly cheap currently at 108 roubles a pop, so you would buy them all at 216,000, then you mark it up 15%, .15x108=~16 16+108=124 124x2000=248,000, since its an item that people will be using (and buying) all the time, it should sell within 2-3 hours. Finally, your total profit will be 32000! Please note that the per tile cost of ammo is pretty shit with 7.62x39 PS at around 6400, so if you want to make a lot of money, but also spend quite a bit, then stock up on graphics cards when they are cheap, which have a per tile cost of around 150000 roubles at current pricing, and sell them when prices rise, which at a 10% markup (because they are so expensive already) should make you around 30,000 profit total. Also one more thing, I've been doing this for the past month now every day, even when I don't feel like playing just hop on real quick, buy 250000 roubles worth of ammo, mark it up, sell it, do a scav run (likely fail), and have made almost 10,000,000 roubles total (all the loot and other shit I may have sold). Stonks.

On ammo, if you just check the flea market for the most expensive ammo of a given caliber, that's usually the correct one.
@mikelibby9904 жыл бұрын
not really, the next best ammo might be 500 roubles cheaper and only have 1 less pen, making it in effect, better then the most expensive

I just make money on the flea market, I can just keep dying with loot in raids and still end up with more money than I started feelsgoodman

Do you have a video on all the keybinds? I see that you changed the scope magnification while zoomed, I hold rmb when zooming so I have to come out of the ADS to change the scope magnification, how is this done? I rebind my key to something that isn't on the mouse I'm guessing is the easier option?

Picked EFT like 3 Weeks ago sitting at 20% survival rate. I am not living the Rat-Life, I try to chad my way through the map and I play super aggressive. And since I am investing in better Ammo I definitely drop more geared fellas. I also like to zero to hero a bit in factory and there I die a lot. Anyway, 50% survival rate is crazy!

How do I find an evacuation point? If they added some in-game map I might try the game more than just going in with a knife for one round a week. I don't have a second monitor and just playing in a map for 5-6 hours to learn it for a game I dunno if I'll even enjoy..... The in-game map doesn't need to tell position. No. Don't do that. Just a menu to open. Look at the full map. Nothing else. Like people keep on their second monitor

Hey..Pestily is there a way to start again...I mean some kind of reset..restart? Idk.. I m at level 5 now...play for few days and killed few players..but I didn t make it to ectraction. I m still learning the map,I choose Customs for my 1st time! BUT...I lost all my guns,shields and money o have only 40 000 50 000 rubles. So,I think if I m back at level 1 with all they give me at the starting point I think I ll do better. So,it is a way?

Hey Pestily i have a question. What would you consider a high penetration rate for a bullet in Tarkov? Thanks in advance!
@AniliusReborn4 жыл бұрын
for me i just want a list of guns and the ammo that's best for both armour and damage and i don't want different types of ammo just simple one type of bullet for that gun instead of like every type of ammo and having it be confusing to understand because i struggle to understand what bullets work for what in the game and what bullets are like the best you can use for both type of situation

The ammo is more important than the gun, is the one thing I wish I learned sooner. I used to just buy the cheapest ammo and get nowhere, I check the chart or if I haven't got it handy usually the most expensive ammo on the flea market for that caliber will be the best?
