Unfortunately that’s the norm for mass production homes. Luckily we are the point in our life that our next home will be our forever home . We will be building a custom home from a niche builder. I will use my own architect and interior designer. If you can afford custom from a a good builder you will understand and see the difference in the things that you will never see such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, insulation, sound proofing, rafters vs truss construction. 90 and sometimes higher buyers don’t care about these items until they need to upgrade their systems. Many first time buyers are just thrilled to be homeowners and are impressed with the new shiny stuff that you can see and touch. Until they walk into a true custom home and compare their homes.

Yes I’ve been in several custom homes and you can tell the difference right away. Unfortunately my new home is far from custom. It’s beautiful and I love it but there are some things that I wish were better quality.

I can relate! Stat away from Signature Homes.....worst final product I've seen and I've lived in 12 homes! The painted over some of our blue tape!.....haha
