My last fight i was in the SAME ROOM as my oponnent, and he was kicking the pads like crazy and it sounded like thunderstrikes. I never ever felt so scared in my life! So my strategy was hitting him the firtst second after the bell rings (we touched gloves before the bell). And when I trew the firt jab and cross it was straight through his covrage, but then I was like, this guy is the same as me, a human how can be hit. And i won! but it''s a crazy experience hitting pads in the same room as your oponnent.

One subject that would be really great to cover on video is : “the best books for kick boxing theory”. Nothing replace working out in a gym with coaches, but when I’m in camp or even in vacations I love to read books about fighting. The one from Jack Dempsey, even if it’s about boxing, is a treasure. Same for the ones of Bruce Lee. I would love to have your opinion about kick boxing related books. Greetings from France mate

Totally true. I always had anxiety over the bathroom thing was so annoying. The other thing they would do is change the fight time on the spot so you would get a huge adrenaline dump then told your not fighting and have to relax again. Up and down

Before my first fight I had to use the bathroom enough that I was convinced that I caught some sort of stomach bug and was terrified that it was going to give me issues in the ring. It did not. Next two fights, same thing and I thought I must have terrible nerves or something or perhaps I was doing something wrong in my last minute prep. Starting with my fourth fight I was like "Okay, this is just normal for me. It doesn't effect my performance. It's weird but who cares". To this day I had no idea it was a common issue.

Get good quality (competitive shooting sports) ear pro. Might help get the good nap needed when the noises around are telling you 'you will not sleep now'. Can use earplugs inside the cups too ('double' the silence lol). Have several mouthguards and pick the one feeling the best for whatever autistic reason. Rest your eyes the best you can for 1/2 full days before fights close to max intensity, doesn't matter the rules. Warm up your eyes before the fight. Breathe a lot. Air is free lol Don't neglect your spiritual-religious needs. Don't be surprised and don't sabotage yourself if you sense a 'predatory instinct' manifesting and a 'dead serious' focus overcoming everything. A calm focus associating an extreme clarity of mind & very short phrases or even single words coming in the mind; with or without a feeling of people around almost not existing anymore/becoming 'ghosts' or objects. Let everything happen. If lots of words come or if bizarre thoughts happen, don't oppose them but do short & sweet but a little challenging postural work with deep breathing 'core solidifying' tasks to re-connect a bit more to earth and your skeletal system. Listen a little bit of music if you want. Get a couple pictures or even 'spy vids' of you taken. Have fun. Breathe more.

@@HAYAOLEONE This makes it seem really intense, short of goin to war. The fighter should remember they signed up for this!
@HAYAOLEONE
@HAYAOLEONE 2 жыл бұрын
@@mikuspalmis Some kids are not ''fighters'' at all and will in fact not know 'what they signed for' until they're adult and a bit smarter. Always good to have 'landmarks' and a few advices, absorb what is useful and get less hurt by the kid living to destroy others (and training for it since he could stand up..). Falling in the stairs is not goin to war but it can kill you the same as a mine. Just sayin.

What's a smoker?
@thehighcommunity247
@thehighcommunity247 2 жыл бұрын
@@davidatwood2619 It is an In-House Sporting event for Kickboxing and/or Muay Thai. They essentially spar at 100%. It still differs from a full on fight by a bit. It does not count on your amateur or professional record whatsoever. Also, there will typically be a decent little crowd, which helps up and coming fighters to better deal with the nerves that come alongside fighting in front of others. It is a great way to compete and get used to what it will be like when you make that first walk. I had no idea about them until 6 weeks ago when my coach told me that we could always go that route first.

Oh yeah I remember feeling really sleepy, I've only had the one fight, currently training for my next, even mid warm up And I was in the same room with my opponent during the warm up, they basically put us in a back room where the event was it was like a small bar with windows, there was a bunch of people just looking in watching all the fighters warm up. I had to warm up looking away from them just do it didn't get in my head And I did get that "oh no my opponent is getting ready to kill me" a little bit because he was sat there looking at an iPad headphones in just doing like a thousand yard stare and I remember thinking he's sat there watching like some sort of really gruesome violent videos and getting in that killer headspace Luckily I was able to get myself out of that headspace by thinking I know what I'm here to to doesn't matter what my opponents doing I just need to focus on me I lost the fight for a bunch of reasons that I won't get into but I'm happy with my actual performance and I'm really glad that I kept my composure through the event

Hello, I have my 3th fight october 1st. Won my first one very easy and the second one I lost it was a close fight. But I feel like i lacked in sharpness and energy. Also took some hits. But I have seen footage of the girl and she looks very good and strong. When I think about the fight i get anxious. What can I do about this?
@GabrielVargaOfficial
@GabrielVargaOfficial 2 жыл бұрын
It's okay to be anxious. Whenever that happens to me I focus visualization. I imagine what scares me most of face it. I also imagine how I will deal with my opponent's strength and what I will land in the fight. Visualization is a monster tool that many of the best athletes use. Try it out and I hope you find it finds you calm the anxious feeling that SHOULD BE showing up.

Force yourself to ADMIT your thinking/strategic thinking is limited (you're not a super experienced pro trainer) and maybe even useless.. Lots of impressions are really just 'mental noise' with zero serious meaning.. Do what you need to feel ready and good and that's all of it. If you KNOW you're as ready as you can given your level and everything, your opponent doesn't matter at all. If you know you're serious and doing well what you have to do, you're doing your part 100%. Fighting is a task and nothing else. Get ready for the job and then get the job done. Then do the other things you have to do to be healthy and sane and nice and happy. Think maybe about a few simple things you know you WILL do weeks after the fight like spending good time in Nature. The world won't stop if you win or lose.. You got this. 🌳🌊🌼
