@Himmarshee Street Live Same deal I loved seeing motorcycle garage, and learned quite a few grease monkey tricks from Ari. ALso. MC commute is not the same without Zack (Chadd, as I always thought his name was)
@thebloodyserb4 жыл бұрын
Zack and Ari were an instrumental part of getting me to finally take the plunge and start riding. In fact it was Zack's MC Commutes review of the CB500F that finally got me to put down the spec sheets on pull the trigger on a purchase, and I could not have been happier with it. I owe these two gentlemen a great deal of gratitude, and I owe one to Revzilla as well for bringing them back to KZbin.

Way back in June 1982, I found myself a freshly enlisted member of the U.S. Air Force. My first assignment was Dyess AFB, Texas. Shortly after arriving, I bought a used 1981 Kawasaki 454 LTD. This bike was very comfortable, and I owned it for over a year. Then, I sold it and bought a used 1981 Kawasaki 550 GPz. I really loved this bike and kept it about a year before I had to sell it because I received orders to Japan and could not take it with me. Bottom line, both of these bikes were primary transportation for me. So, between these two bikes, I would go with the 454 LTD due to comfort. Always go with comfort when dealing with long trips and hours in the saddle. Take care.

I like to see that my initial research I put in back in late 2014 paid off. My white 2015 Versys 650LT has been great for me. I’ve put 58,000 miles on it in five years and it still runs and looks perfect. I do oil changes every 4000 miles , flush the radiator every year and do the valve checks every 25000 miles. This bike still looks new and I will keep it way past 100000 mile and it won’t be worth anything. I might buy other bikes but I’m never selling that Versys.

A few blocks later I was in love. Couple of years later bought an FZ-07 and lived that first ride. Sold that after a year and decided to try a cruiser so bought a 2006 Honda Shadow Sabre 1100. Was a bit puckered up about testing riding that but managed not to drop it. Still have that and the R3, which is great for the twisties. The Sabre is my lead sled for the highways. Great Presentation! I've wanted a KTM 950 SMT ever since they came out...but I needed something practical---enter the Gen1-FZ1. That first time is critical if you gel with bikes. Tall 6'3" riders are supposed to like the 1200 BMW GS....I've tried multiple times and after 1 minute..not for me. Bought my Sprint 1050 without even a test ride...fell in love first minute out of the dealership. Husky501.....again no test ride from dealer...damn I love it. Hope I luck out on my next purchase. Cheers!
