i'm 4 days post-op and thats the last thing on my mind , i don't even want to be around anyone i'm just focus on my paper work 2 or 3 times a day and diet. i only do what the doctor says, every thing you say is 100% true thanks

Thank you. I’m trying to be proactive. I just met my surgeon yesterday already got a bariatric app on my phone. Read all my papers given to me and just found you. I meet with the dietitian on 1/17/24 still waiting to get my liver & gallbladder ultrasound.

Please watch this video and listen to Dr.A about how to get ready for the surgery. I was scared hearing the word diet but Doctor A’s pre-op diet was easy to follow and everything went well for my surgery. The assistance I received from his office the information was so helpful I didn’t even need to call Dr. A. The writing information answered most of my questions before I left the United States it is so well written it helped me go through the surgery and after the surgery easily.

Thank you very much! I will get a operation very soon around september but my dietist sayd I must refeed my body so I went from 400 a 800 calories to 2000 a day and 6 times a day eat. But I told them I will gain weight if I ate so much. They dont believe me, I gain this week 1 kg but I must lose 5 kg before the operation. I really dont know how because refeeding my body means gain weight so after gaining weight I must lose a lot. I will buy your book and follow the pre- surgical diet 2 weeks before the operation.. I hope then I should lose 5 kg plus the Kg of refeeding. But I am afraid that refeeding my body with so many calories will give me the opposite effect.

I’m scheduled to get a VSG on the 23rd and I am so nervous. My anxiety is all over the place. I know I need it, but I’m so worried that something might go wrong. I have diabetes high cholesterol and blood pressure and this would all be gone after surgery… Do you have any encouraging words that would calm my anxiety down.

Hope your VSG went well and your recovery is smooth . I’m in your position now lol . But I know the pros outweigh the cons and I take naps longer than the time it takes to do the procedure so I’m trying to keep positive

@@NajimaMuslimah I know everyone is different, but it was a breeze for me. I had no nausea or gas pain. No side effects from the surgery at all. Hands down the best decision I ever made in my life! All the health issues I had are gone…. I hope you have the same experience and a quick recovery. A little advice walk walk walk as soon as u can right after surgery. I thinking that’s why I didn’t have gas pain. I had a lot of anxiety over the surgery and it wasn’t bad at all. Best of luck 🤞

Hi Dr. Alvarez, may I ask the reason for slimy saliva everytime I eat? They sometimes can be so sticky that It causes me unable to burp and made me vomit. Sometimes I have to force water down to vomit out the sticky slimy saliva. Appreciate you can advise me the cause as I have highlighted to my doctor before and he doesn't seem to answer my question let alone providing me a solution
