It would be interesting to hear the sound. I have first generation and it has been great outside of some the creaks and that humming sound at around 60ish rpms.

I was really hoping they would have integrated steering into the bike. My fear is that I spend that kind of money on a bike and then steering in apps becomes more of a thing and the bike won't be able to do it. I do think in the near future we will see a more immersive experience and hopefully more mountain bike routes like the short one in Zwift that require steering and add a lot of fun to a workout.

You can steer using thumb buttons found on the inside of the shifters. (The "Campagnolo" buttons, if that makes sense). Even the gen 1 bike has it.

I hope they fixed the problems with the Wahoo bike's physical aspects. I own one of the first batch of the first Wahoo bikes and boy do they creak and wobble like crazy. Talked to my shop and the owner said every single one of them had issues. That said I have always watch netflix or blasted music, so makes the creaking noises bearable from the Wahoo bike. For $5000 I do wish it didnt have creaking problems right out of the box.

Cant see an extra 1k for wifi and Erg ramp, all my rides upload to strava so i know how many mile iv done on my trainer, makes the V1 look like a bargin.

I'm curious if anyone has done any real world testing on the claimed speed increase and latency decrease of WiFi versus previous Bluetooth.

The WiFi is way better. Especially direct connect with Ethernet.

Wait, the older versions don’t have ERG mode??

Yes, they do. The new feature is an ERG ramp so that if you stop it is easier to get pedals turning.

Not even really interesting re: Kickr bike. I have mine and it's great - the best on the market in my mind. Nothing here to convince me to upgrade. Give me true-to-life tilt and steering and THEN you've got something.

Wifi on board so they can see your device and see how many miles you have done 👀Oh year I am sure that is for our benefit 🙄 "So I see Mr X has rode 2,500k this year but is not using his trainer with our software. Send him an email with an offer code" Or "Hi science in sport, I can give you email addresses for 10,000 people who all clock up at least 2k a yeah on the trainer.
