Finally!! Someone with the clear explanation of why not to drive with the propane on. Thank you!

I just want you to know, as a heavy youtube watcher, minor content creator, professional photographer, and new RV owner, you make THE BEST educational/technical RV videos on all of KZbin. I watch a lot, and the thing most channels do is revert to gear and Amazon accessory videos, I'm sure because those get easy views. But they're all the same. You are providing unique, useful, and valuable content to your audience. And your doing it in a really authentic way. Your production value is good without becoming the focus of the content. Only recommendation would be to use some kind of solution to dampen the echo in your audio. It's good audio but not great recording environment, sound bouncing around empty spaces and flat walls/floor/ceiling. Regardless, keep it up and you will be a titan in the KZbin rv space! Thanks for all the super useful information presented in a way for a noob to understand!

This is the best explanation I've seen of why you shouldn't travel with propane turned on. I never travel with the propane on. To keep food cold I'll freeze containers of water, before I depart. In the freezer, I load as many as I can pack in. The rest go in the fridge. Cold air sinks so place things that need to stay the coolest in the lowest part of the fridge. You can freeze bottles of water so you don't have misc empty water containers to worry about between travel days. This has worked very well for me.

Laying in the bed of my rv watching this video and already had to get up once to turn the water pump off. I just assumed I needed it on no matter what. Great advice!

I like to see you are finally starting to grow. You are very thorough in your explications and with the things I have had to deal with has really helped. I started watching you during your heater tips is when I found you. I had the blower replaced by some repair guy who dealt with extended warranties but now it clicks when it shuts off as if wires are touching the blower and they are not. I have had extensive problems with my 2020 Silverback Cedar Creek but most came after camping world then the worst Forest River literally destroyed everything they touched. Then refused to return 5k in reimbursements. My story is long and I hope to tell it better than the generic videos I’ve done so far. Al that to say I will stay subbed to your great channel. My daughter is in Vegas if I ever get that way. My lil personal comment is your energy is great. I’m too old to flirt but you’re cute and have a wonderful attitude. You’re a pleasure to learn from. Great video. I actually ran into a guy who swore on leaving his black tank open and wondered why the sewage kept backing up. 😂😂 great advice.

Great explorations!! Thanks 😊 The fridge can usually keep things cold a lot longer than residential fridges if left alone. Our 1994 kept cold for our 5-hour trip :-)

you hit it all but you forgot: don't carry stuff in your shower pan and sinks when in motion. the bouncing of the moho or trailer loosens the p-trap slip joint.

Thanks for your videos. I just bought a Ford E Transit battery powered van. What is the safest way to charge it? Have you seen how RVers charge theirs up in the RV park. I stay in a permanent spot with 50A. Can I use a 50A splitter or should I use a new breaker.

My refrigerator runs only on ac/dc power and I have a remote switch to turn it on only for drive days. Is it ok to turn on refrigerator this way (no propane)
@montanadan25244 ай бұрын
I am not an expert on items 1, 3, 4, &5 but you're explanations appear to be good practice and seem very logical to me. Relating to item two, the electronics engineer in me has a different opinion of a Electricity Management System or whatever they want to call this add-on device. In my opinion, the only party that benifits is the entity or business selling them. I take this stance after my time working for an eletric utility investigating customer claims. Chances are you are in greater danger from your onboard generators dirty power than plugging into the pedistal.

Why would you even need to use your pump when you are hooked up to city water. Makes absolutely no sense to me.
@TomLentz9 ай бұрын
So a hot tub in the RV is OK, then? 😆
@ThePracticalProgressive9 ай бұрын
You could use a refrigerant line tap, designed specifically for this purpose. Tap the coolant line, attach your manifold, evacuate old refrigerant, pull a vacuum, and fill with all new refrigerant. Don’t forget to dispose of the evacuated refrigerant properly. 🙂👍🏻
@ThePracticalProgressive9 ай бұрын
Of course this is assuming you’ve found the leak and solved the problem appropriately.
@doreenduncan34119 ай бұрын
Your rv fridge is essentially a large cooler. Before you go on a couple hour trip get your fridge cold and then when you leave all your stuff is good and cold and it will stay that way for a very long time. Don't run with the propane on because it's not needed.

The Hindeburg burnt because they were using HELIUM. The dirigible industry switched to HYDROGEN afterwards because hydrogen is not flammable. !
@dcbaker89319 ай бұрын
My guy, wiki is free. Check yourself. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hindenburg_disaster
@ralphpetry17459 ай бұрын
Unfortunately, you have it backwards. Hydrogen is flammable while Helium is not. The Hindenburg like all blimps of that time used Hydrogen as their lifting gas as it was more abundant and lighter with safety taking a back seat. The few blimps still in use today ie the Goodyear blimp now use Helium as their lifting gas and are far safer.
