Good list. Wait until you start a garden or orchard. I can pretty much guarantee you will be hauling water. You will be amazed hire much water is required to keep your plants alive in this dry climate. That was our experience.

You all are finally living the life. So happy for you guys. Who needs politics when you have all that to work with. No doubt you all will have it looking like a park some day. The dogs and cats are a must, as well. Love and prayers from Oklahoma

Looks like its on track VON. Rwmember there will be lows in your time off grid. Shit happens for no reason, just step back and think it through dont get over frustrated or over think the situation. I would expect some of your animals will be taken by the predator wild life , its inevitable. But i would rather deal with four legged predators then the two legged kind. Just remember the predator animals are just doing their natural thing , trying to stay alive winters coming and they need to eat too , so its not personal. Keep truckin VON and waiting for the next vid. 👍

I have always operated off of a list. make marks next to priority. Once the list filled two full pages even writing really small... Lists make great kindling,

Do you have a safe place for your cats to get too? They will get eaten if you don't.

Val, , it takes getting used too. yup, ya can hear a mouse fart 5 miles away, you live by what the weather is going to do, winter time here ive seen 30 below, with bad N east winds, have a pic of the temp gauge out side showing 22 below. you can also tell if its a stranger on foot by the dog bark, you can feel/hear cars/truck driving around, there is a certain vibration in the air ya can feel.. You are correct on all your points,,, ive hauled water for 35 years. it sucks,, but living in the desert, i dont have a choice. on a good year i get about 9 inches a year. id love a well, but i dont have an extra 45k,,, 100 dollars a foot, thats with a discount because i used to work for them. THE WORK NEVER ENDS....... but, some daze i take off anyway,, I just dont feel like it. I love stormy daze,, even look forward to them. I know i can take well needed time off without feeling guilty, lol it'll get done, and then important stuff pops up and everything gets put on hold.. it seem like 1 step forwards and 3 steps back most of the time. ive noticed I can never catch up,, i dont even try anymore.. I do what i can and try again the next day... never set a time frame to anything!!!!! thats a hard one to get used to. ✌👍
