As with any city. Be smart and Just do your thing. 90 percent of people aren’t about that life. Try to be with people and enjoy yourself. Anacostia Rd had the elementary backup up 37th Place(shoutout to Charlie &BoBo, Lil Al ) We had Barry Stewart, who taught us to box and fought ANYBODY to protect us along with big Sis Mitti who doubled as big bro cause she was 6 yrs older. Rest in paradise. DC was playing ball playing in woods and creeks. Watching out for Bunnyman and Green Man, and being scared of Charlie Cook with his head wobbling constantly, respectfully. We was ghetto teasing him. Momma gave us a very safe and fun childhood. Didnt know we cilmed in the dumpster treasure hunting mid 60's. No needles. Trash was not even real dirty it seems.
