Just a small quibble. With the revolving door it is not that she doesn't understand how it works, it is that she is unsure how to handle it. As seen in different episodes, for Young Woo moving from one space to another is a mini trauma - why she counts. The revolving door represents a number of spaces, constantly moving.

I agree. Young Woo is very bright...so this is not about her not knowing what to do but her anxiety in going through. I am on the spectrum and I had anxiety with revolving doors when I was younger. I still have mild anxiety with them but not nearly as bad as her. My problem is escalators. Especially going down escalators. My proprioception and vestibular system does not always give me reliable feedback and this is common for people on the spectrum so the anxiety is often very understandable. One reason proposed for hand flapping...especially hand flapping within eye view or peripheral view is to help orient the body in space because we often have poor proprioception. I suspect that her counting before going into the room at Hanbada could be due to several things, but probably stems from a different anxiety potentially...and I think it could be perhaps social anxiety or even a little ritual that soothes (OCD is also common amongst autistics. It has a high comorbidity and the OCD accentuates perseverative tendencies too which can make it more difficult to diagnosis in a person who already has an ASD diagnosis. But compulsive behaviour to soothe is fairly common.); My headcannon is that perhaps she walked right into an office before without being called in or receiving a response and was told to wait for a response or not to just come in and so she has a little countdown now before entering.

Most people interpret it from their own experience, so they think "confused". But for someone with autism, depending on the kind and degree, it can be far more than that. They can understand it intellectually, as Young-Woo does, but have no "program" associated with how to use it. (Temple Grandin was unable to walk through an automatic sliding door the first time she saw one. It didn't behave as a "door" should. This extreme sensitivity to differences helped make her an expert in cattle handling - cows don't like unexpected differences either and will refuse to move if startled by something.)

A really nice detail as Junho helps Youngwoo through the revolving door is his display of “polite hands”. While he is guiding her with his arms, he is careful not to actually touch her. They do not yet have that kind of relationship in conservative Korean culture.

All love to the brilliant show!!! from India. Loved how each one's relationship with Young Woo is crafted and shown so beautifully. Everyone should have a boss as Jung, friend as Choi and Dong. Loved all the characters, but haven't seen such a portrayal of a male character done by Kang Tae-oh. Can't get over Park's performance aswell!

Extraordinary Attorney Woo is such a good show, and Park's performance so outstanding, I was motivated too re-watch The King's Affection, starring Park, of course. she is outstanding there, as well, but I honestly found myself wondering, at times, "Where is the Whale?!?!?!?" I'll re-visit Hello, My Twenties too, just to see if she's just as good in that one. Good review, I missed some of these.

Who wrote the script for this video? 1minute and 22 seconds in, you can see that they did not watch the series carefully. Young Woo knows how the door works (she even explained its benefits in one scene), Soo Yeon is not only sympathetic of Young Woo in the workplace but they are actually friends during law school! The two girls go way back.

About that revolving door…. I think Young-woo has been given a bad rap for having trouble with that particular revolving door…because I think a lot of us would have trouble, too. Ever notice the revolving doors where you live? Chances are, they don’t spin and keep spinning like that. They don’t move very fast and they’re quick to stop when someone stops pushing on it. That’s how they usually work. Besides: Behind the scenes, didn’t the cast and crew refer to that revolving door as a “revolving door of doom”? Because it was a nightmare for everyone involved.

the windows licence thing is probably down to the pc hardware has ben changed multiple times and after a while windows is not able to cope with all the changes. Thus sees it as a vilotation, or its a cace where they have a stack of pcs, with demo copies of windows and only use when required. Demo copies only last aroudn 30-60 days

One of my favourite lines in the entire series is via a text message. Young-Woo's friend (sorry, I don't remember her name, but she is the one at Hairy Boss' restaurant) is on an errand to the Law firm. Young-Woo sends her a text saying, (something like) "be careful, the door is tricky." That line and the friend's reaction when going through the revolving door, sticks with me. I love the show.

I really do hope we get a season 2 and the same cast members are a must, this was my first K drama, and have watched a few more since but always come back to this one to watch again, Eun Bin is amazing and so adorable in the role, everyone wants to see how she gets on in life and maybe marriage and being a mother herself, I will not give this show a 10/10 I will give it a 100/100 🥰

Here's some tidbits related to the music. 1) The tune that plays when Young-Woo and Jun-Ho go through the revolving door for the first time is from "Somewhere My Love," the theme song from the epic film "Doctor Zhivago." Perhaps it represents their wandering feelings for each other as the series continues. 2) When the bride's wedding dress falls down, there are some very strident chords played on the violin. That is the beginning of Bach's famous Chaconne in D Minor for violin. It is a long and difficult work, with a short, basic theme and 64 variations, presenting not only technical challenges but also artistic ones, as the violinist has to figure out how to present its emotional ebb and flow. Those opening notes, I think, reflect the terror that strikes the heart of any artist who is about to play it. That terror certainly was reflected in the bride's face as her dress fell. 3) The tune that "Eugene Park" plays under the hackberry tree is taken from "Traumeri" (Daydreaming), a piano work by Schumann from his collection "Kinderszenen" (Scenes from Childhood.) It's exactly the piece that would come to mind while enjoying a peaceful, pastoral scene from under the shade of a giant tree on a sunny day. The music was brilliant in this show, as was everything else.

Who cares about the little mistakes??? What it matters is the great performances, the main argument of this serie, the beautiful messages it leaves, the way the Korean culture is exhibited which is a unknown theme for many of us but it encourages us to inquire more about it. I don’t know; I could be here writing hours and hours about this K-drama and I don’t see nothing wrong. Maybe because I prefer to see the substance and not the form ❤

I understand what you say. Especially in this time of great devisions between people you see how little people actually know about other countries (and vice versa). That in itself is okay. But most also have an opinion. That is wrong. We could start a political debate about all the causes but lets not go there. I am not entirely sure about this, but in episode 4 or 5 I think I spotted an open toilet behind Young Woo to the right (her left) shoulder as she sits at her desk in front of the window. No separation from anything at all to provide privacy, it openly sits there as commonly as a printer or a or a filing cabinet. I admit that I get things wrong, so I'm wondering if that is the case or if this is true. I love this series and also enjoy ABC's The Good Doctor which is based on a Korean production. It addresses an increasing sized portion of people who deal with different aspects of this condition and gives them hope.

The drama is amazing and the actors did an outstanding job portraying their characters. Just two observations: in the early episodes, after he helped her with the revolving doors, there is a scene that she goes through it with no problem and then goes back to having trouble with it. Also, the counting when entering a new space, in the episode that he holds the elevator for her, she just went right in without the counting and then goes back again to the counting. 💞💞

Why in episode 6 do they see the husband attacking his wife but then don't go and help her. Nor do they stay to tell the police. If the police are always called why isn't anything being done to protect the wife? They witnessed him doing it so why not do anything about it?
