Nice one... and also about having mod.. some channel have like tons of buddies to be their mod.. where its so intimidating as a new viewers to be at, its like going to a Police Stations. Maybe its just me.

No, that’s totally valid! I think it’s better to assign the VIP role to friends (as long as they know how to behave) because it can absolutely be daunting as a new viewer trying to break the ‘mod wall’. In addition to that, I’m sure your friends would rather chill in the chat than feel like they have to moderate.

100% agree! I turned off the names coming up in chat (and on screen) so that people don’t feel called out if they just want to follow and lurk. If they enter the chat and I notice that they just followed, then I’ll thank them for the follow.

I think I was intended to see this video 🥲 I have been waiting way too long to start streaming on twitch because I don’t have the “best gear”. And I keep putting it off until I do and it’s been like 2 years now and I still haven’t streamed 😂 maybe I should just start cause it’s gonna suck at first anyways 😅

Great advice and video. Capture card if just using PC and no extra devices(IE video cam), probably not required. As a viewer of many different platforms, much like everyone, TV internet etc. One thing I dislike hearing is "See you next time" comments from presenters, they will never see any of the viewers. While its not rude or insulting its just frustrates me and disconnects me from the presenter, I know they are trying to make it more personal and create a connection to the viewer, but for me it does the opposite. Much better to say catch me next time type endings. Will be interested from others about feedback on endings. What do some of you reading this think??

If I recall correctly, I did mention in the video that a capture card would only be necessary if you’re capturing console or a second PC. As for your second point, to be totally honest… As a streamer who literally sees my viewers everyday in chat this comment feels oddly pedantic. Having said that, it’s obviously not always suppose to be literal. You could say ‘see you’ to a grocery store attendant even though you may never see them again… how is that any different? Just my two cents 🤷🏻‍♀️
