I have discovered that a spray bottle with just water saves water when washing your hands. We had to go with out water here for half a day when work was being done. When I was dumping water out of a bottle to wash my hands I lost too much water. It was depleting the bottle fast. Hence I got the idea for the spray bottle. It does the job with much less waste. I agree that God does amazing work. His will be done.

In our neighborhood we live out in the country but we have about 15 houses within a 3 Mile radius. We had a neighborhood meeting last month by sending out flyers and asking everyone to meet at one person's house. 11 people showed up and it was very productive meeting. All about what we were planning on doing when and if the grid went down or any major emergency happened. Community is very important in times like these

I started prepping last year and you guys were the first channel I watched. I have two small babies and after the Texas winter storm I knew I had to really get going on my preps. I was a fresh new c section with a 2 week old baby and a toddler. I thought to myself there’s NO reason why I shouldn’t have had things in place to protect my family. Since then I’ve gained so much knowledge from you guys! Just this past week we had a storm roll through our street was completely flooded and people weren’t able to get in and out for a while. I felt such a relief knowing I’d been prepping. The birth pains are definitely getting stronger. I’m trust in Jesus and praying he keeps us safe in his arms 💕 God Bless this channel!

I want to be ready to give a good word to anyone at anytime. 2 inventory my food storage to see where items are short 3 practice skills that might be critical if there is extended grid down 4 be intentional about my mental, spiritual, and physical health for hard times 5 take time to praise God everyday. He inhabits our praise.

Adding my take on college students… I had my son who was at college in off campus apartment 4 hrs away do a 2 week prep of water and basic food. When the plague was raging in 2020-21, they were closing state borders. That concerned me about his being able to come home in a crisis situation. So I thought that at least 2 weeks would help him get along until a crisis resolved.

Stop calling it the plague. It was a form of a flu that killed a grain of sand of the population, the vast majority of which were fat, old, and/or otherwise very unhealthy. Plagues kill indiscriminately, yet almost all kids to middle age healthy people were fine. Government control and division is what that was.

I have been prepping for over 40. But I am older now and have no family members to rely on. So I am sincerely hoping the situation does not deteriorate to the point we need to flee our homes. My health is not good enough to flee and care for myself. Not sure what to add. But without physical strength, any more than a short term emergency would sink many of us.

Number 5: Strengthen your faith is THE most important prep that some people don't even consider. God will get you through any disaster. But if you reject Him, then you're on your own. That's just foolishness, imho. While everyone else is suffering, panicking and grumbling, YOU will be okay because you honor Jesus and partnered with Him. And He's got your back!

I'm 74 lived the scary events of the cold war days in the 50s and the 1962 Cuban missile crisis. I'm also a cold war submarine vet with knowledge of nuclear power, war and protection. War is a whole other subject to prepare for. My father was a Ham radio operator in the 1950s. Civil defense was big back then and commutation was another important aspect of being prepared besides basic food water and shelter. None of us will be 100% prepared for what comes our way but doing something is better than doing nothing at all. One never knows how self will react in times of high stress until one is put in that position. That's where Prayer and trust in God is most important. Remember to store up some bibles in your preper closet, there may be a real need for them

A much different list which brings me to the fact that everyone will have a selection far and away from others. The point is to THINK of what that list would be and execute it.

Hec you could at least make your own vanilla. :) Buy vanilla beans and a 5th for about the price you can get the beans and the vodka, you can make like 5 fold of what a good size bottle of real vanilla extract at the store costs now. I also make med for allergies, depression, etc so I keep that on hand to be able to put a jar up of a new plant medicine I may find/learn about. Chocolate is a good idea, so is sugar, and vinegar. I bought different choc chips. Keep them on hand so I can whip up somethin yummy or add a little sweetness to a trail mixes we make or granola bars.

Here's a little help with keeping warm & fed this winter in case you missed my last post - Get a Hydroponics set up for indoor winter gardening with grow lights or tape an emergency blanket to a large piece of carboard with the reflective side out to redirect suns rays to plants & move as needed thru out the day / Put a tent in your livingroom to live in / sleep in to retain heat in a small area / drop plastic to keep a smaller area of home warm / 8 hr candles in a clean paint pail or similar can with terra cotta pot on top - I would put bricks around it to help stop anyone from bumping it. You'd have to figure out something else if you have small kids or playful pets / wrap copper tubing around stove pipe & drill holes to put tubing to other rooms for heat & wrap 1 around water pipe to stop pipes from freezing - & you may have to turn water on & off while soaping up in order to get enough warm water for a QUICK shower. God Bless Us All!

I think the best thing for bartering is skills as well as products you can produce with those skills. As you mentioned, if you are a gardener, you can barter fresh produce. If you know how to sew well, stock up on cloth, thread, and sewing supplies so you can make clothing and blankets to barter. I have even purchased an old-fashioned manual sewing machine just in case the grid goes down. Then there is always the skill of handsewing and mending.

Thanks for your video. I'm expecting more severe storms with winds of 200 mph to be the norm here. I'll soon have everything I'll need for a superadobe structure. It's dirt cheap but labour intensive. All I require now is a few bags of portland cement. A windproof, fireproof, bullet proof, and earthquake resistant root cellar/bunker. I'm IN! I've been dreaming of this for a long time now. I just hope to finish it in time. I've slowly collected all the parts for the solar system and only need batteries but figure there's lots of batteries around. There are four batteries just here in the yard in all the cars and trucks. I have a little two burner cast iron wood stove, ... and food stored up the ying yang. The structure is round and half buried and can be disguised as the pile of dirt it is. It's cool in the summer and easy to heat in the winter. If anything, I'll have no place for all my preps. I'll have to bury them! Oh yeah, I could dig a shallow well the water table is so high there. I'm building on the 8 feet of sand piled on two of the three acres of land I have. It was the "low" and wet end of the field at one time. Not anymore. I just want a place to lay low while the people I'm surrounded by figure it out. I now what they think of me now and I don't want to change that. There's safety in crazy. Have a great one guys and thanks for all the help over the years. I'd say "God bless" but I can see that She's already done that.

If you are not interested in storing alcohol for trade, there are other uses for it as well. If it is high enough percentage (60 to 90%) it might be good as a disinfectant. Also, it is self-stable calories that can be added in moderation to the end of a meal to add more calories but not so much to be intoxicating.

You can make high proof alcohol in gallon water jugs. Add 4 1/2 cups of sugar, enough hot water to dissolve sugar, more colder water to bring temperature below 100 degrees, then add distiller`s yeast and yeast nutrient, shake very well to mix air in to get yeast started, then fill the rest of the way leaving a few inches so fermentation bubbles won`t boil out the top. Cap loosely or add an airlock and place in a dark place to ferment which may take 5 days or more. Then freeze for 50 hours, then pour out the alcohol. Or get an Air Still to brew it for drinking. It makes a lower proof alcohol though than freeze distilling.

Nothing? I don't think we'll get there, but if you don't look at politics right now and see danger, you're blind. The deep state has weaponized the FBI and other 3 letter organizations against their opponents. A Betsy Ross or Don't Tread on Me flag now make you a terrorist suspect to the FBI. Biden's puppet master tried to institute a Ministry of Truth, eventually negating the 1st Amendment and now proof has come out that they actively pushed social media to ban certain people. That's communist level stuff right there. The energy policies are terrible and they've doubled down on ruining lives. The cost to feed livestock has quadrupled for ranchers and fertilizer has skyrocketed for farming. A LOT points to bad times coming if something doesn't change quickly. The far left are going to cause a civil war or revolution.

This is an interesting topic….the answer is always “it depends”. I’ve read that many folks had poor germination on seeds planted this year. Why? There is no guarantee that your seed purchases will germinate well the first year, tho we know that germination rates fall off thru subsequent years. Cool and dry storage will give you the longest safe storage. Note that your BEST seed success will be from planting and saving your own seeds for future use. Hybrid seeds give you a good initial production, but don’t return true from seed. Good luck! Start a fall garden 👍🏻

Let me start off by saying, great video and information. One of the biggest questions my wife and I have asked ourselves is, how many family members to we try to assist if and when trouble comes. We have three children of our own. Our 2 sons are married and each have a baby. Our daughter is single with a boyfriend. My father is by himself, now that my mother passed away 2 1/2 months ago. My mother-in-law is by herself. These are the ones we know we would help out. I also have a brother and sister, which have families, that we have thought about, but we certainly couldn't afford to feed all of these family members for very long. Just something to think about. We do have some talent and skills in our family, so we are in decent shape as far as the 5 areas that you covered in your video.

Great barter items are pocket sized high quality AM/FM/NOAA Weather radios with solar rechargeable batteries. Radios with an 18650 battery and USB charging input can be recharged in most cars or with a portable folding solar panel and double as an off grid 18650 charger for flashlights. There`s a radio like this with a bright light too. Fits in a shirt pocket. Just remember batteries and a way to recharge them off grid. Buy regular batteries if you want but rechargeable batteries are like having hundreds of them in one hand.

@@TheProvidentPrepper It hadn't even occurred to me until recently. As a 65yo single woman, I've been trying to figure out places where it is hidden but accessible. I can't really bury it. Attic? Crawl space? I don't see it as a probable thing here in WY, but those in cities, especially apartments... As you've said, it's the thing you don't consider that can cause a problem.

What would you do if you were in my situation? If i have to leave (western wa) and the child in the area isn't interested in prepping and doesn't communicate. The child in Eastern WA is WILLING to accommodate me (but not thrilled to, as her hubby prefers keeping it just the 3 of them. Nobody wants to go where they aren't welcome especially in stressful situations)? I have zero exit plan. I have extended family in Oregon but scattered and pretty much as vulnerable with disasters/political issues as myself. I don't think I could WALK as far as my niece in Wyoming. Do I bunker in and just keep prepping to stay here and hope I'll be ok (highly unlikely I wouldn't be affected by atleast looting/robbery). Pretty scared.

I too am basically alone. Somehow despite my best efforts I did not raise my kids right and definitely am unwelcome. Alone. Well, for me it's bunker in with preps and some personal protection, if you know what I mean. Getting rid of life's collected stuff, getting out of debt, making my situation as simple as possible are things I am working on. No exit plan, no where to go. To Kylene's point, God and prayer are important, and in my case, my only hope. What He allows to happen to me will happen, but I did my part prepping all the same.

You should be more connected in your local church. You could offer cooking, food preservation, or sewing skills. While some one in your church could exchange mechanical, or security skills. Spend more time in Gods good book. He says be anxious for nothing.

@@victorialg1270 not sure who you're directing this council to in this thread. But I'm very active in my church. It's just very difficult to get help. People are strained enough with their own family chores. But... I do get SOME HELP...so I'm grateful for that. But this isn't about friending up with locals, this is about if I had to bug out. Most the folks I'm friends with have their own personal bug out plans. That doesn't include an extra gimpy 65 yr old to slow them down. Haha

I live 2.5 hours away from a Home Storage Center… so a four or five hour trip in all. I’ve always heard that you can order online, but when I go to try and order and buy items they ask me for my church membership number, which I don’t have. My question is, is there a way to order online without being a member or do I have to go into a Home Center instead? Thanks for all that you two do!🙂

I never understood about wasting your resources to stock up on items that you don’t use to barter?? If things got that bad, do you want to be bartering with people you don’t know?

Bartering with neighbors or with “people you don’t know” happens when after a disaster you are talking with them and they have tooth brushes but no salt and you have salt and no tooth brush. That’s when you barter with strangers. You never tell them all the things you have but ask what they need and see if you have it.

I know dark predictions get clicks, but it feels like you're preparing a for a societal breakdown, and I don't feel like I'm going out on too far a limb when I say I don't think you would universally reject the breakdown of our society. Life isn't going to turn into a horror movie, and we are the descendants of generations of people that survived hard times.

How will you protect your supplies? In every recent collapse elsewhere in the world, society quickly devolves into survival of the fittest. Once children start to go hungry, parents will take food by force. If you cannot protect your preps, you are prepping for someone else.

Hi guys, me again. I just want to report that I went online to check the local wholesalers and order some bulk tea for the old folks and half their products on the site were labeled "Out Of Stock". It was freaky. Sure, there' always things that get out of stock, but half the sites products? It blew me away and I'm the fool whos supposed to be prepared for this. Good thing I'm into acceptance. It spurred me to order 20, five gallon Mylar bags, and 100, one gallon bags and all kinds of extra Oxygen Absorbers. And I thought I was done with those things. .... *sigh* Silly me. OK, just sharing the bad news. Have a great one and good luck.
