Interestingly fact: there was also originally gonna be direct-to-video sequels to Pinocchio, Dumbo, The Aristocats, Treasure Planet, Chicken Little, Meet the Robinsons and both third installments to The Jungle Book and Mulan. But the rest got cancelled when John Lasseter became the chief creative officer of the studio and he put an end to these direct-to-video sequels and while Treasure Planet 2 got cancelled because the original film bomb at the box office.

Honorable mention: Disney cancelled Nimona and effectively shut down blue sky studios from finishing the movie in 2021. The main reason for the movie being cancelled was because Ballister, one of the 2 main characters, had a homosexual relationship throughout the entire movie which heavily impacted the plot and character motivations. But the movie refused to die because producers approached Netflix and with the help of annapurna, successfully released Nimona on Netflix, where ballister had a boyfriend, and Nimona gets an Oscar nomination. This is not the full story, more like a short version of it, but please watch Nimona as it is an underrated gem that has gone through so much

Monsters Inc 2 with Boo lore would've been cool to see. Imagine Boo remembers Sully and Mike and we get an emotional scene of her breaking down sobbing because she had always thought it was just a dream she had when she was little and told her parents about it, only for them to think she was crazy. They reunite and it's melancholic as she finally realizes she wasn't crazy, right before she dies. Also as a train person, Metro would've been cool to see.

It’s been theorised that the old witch in the animated Pixar film “brave” is actually an elderly version of boo. There are clues that suggest this, such as her having a carving of Sully in her hut and having the ability to teleport via the use of doors which is similar to how the doors work in monsters inc.
