I personally think that the 2014 Australian Open QF against Djokovic the year before was Stan's best performance. Partly because hard courts are Djokovic's favorite surface and at the time, he already had a solid record at the AO. Along with that, Stan came in clutch when he needed to in order to beat Djokovic at his own game. However, I do agree that the 2015 French Open final was still undoubtedly one of his greatest.

@@Erroll21Oscar25 No, it's called M_U_S_C_L_E. Stan is immensely strong. His timing is not special - eg compared to Novak who has far less muscle bulk but can hit the ball almost as hard. Or Roger who is relatively weedy but has peak ball speed only a shade less. Or even Sinner. Or Auger. With Stan it is brute force.

7 out of 8 matches in GS have gone the distance... The fun fact is, apart from the 4 matches Stan won, he also had chances to win other 3 as well(uso13, ao13 and AO 2015)...imagine being 7-0 against the SO CALLED goat and the SO CALLED clutch player😂...wawrinka can easily lose to a qualifier but not against novak... even after having 19-6 in h2h, novak struggles so badly against him in GS... I feel stan is the most clutch player than anyone

His game simply matched up very well against Novak..Their lopsided overall h2h has more to do with Wawrinka taking too long to get his act together..Against Nadal,the lefty forehand to backhand was always going to be an uphill battle and Federer didn't give Wawrinka any time to unload (outside a couple of clay encounters)

Well wining in 5 set at RG against Murray that was already injured at the hip. It not a prime performance considering this and that Murray does not have a game that really annoy wawrinka.It was confirmed in the final against Nadal where he got demolished. Interestingly Murray and Wawrinka were seriously injured during winbledon 2017 (loosing against a very young medvedev on grass ...)

I’ve been a fan of Stan since 2007-2008. He was always a beautiful player to watch, and it was fantastic seeing him reach god mode level in from 2013-early 2017. His game is my favorite to watch, in terms of its aesthetic beauty-his movement (very underrated), purity of strokes (forehand and backhand) and his intensity are great to watch play out

same here, except I ve started watching him in 2013( was like 11-12 in 2007 so I wasn t realy watching tennis then) . I just loved his backhand from the start for me its the most GLORIOUS shot I ve ever seen in tennis. IMO he could of have done much more if his mindset was better and didn t go off the boil like he has done many times sadly. Still I will always cherish the memories with his game and watch how the rest of his career goes on

Immovable object vs Unstoppable force: Djokovic vs. Wawrinka. Probably one of the best match up's in Tennis history. And dare i say Novaks's Achilles heel, outside of Rafa at French Open. The immovable object i.e Djokovic, usually wins on average. But when Wawrinka is in those rare God Mode moods, even the immovable object has to step aside.

When stan was in form he beat all of the big three, it's just that novak was his major rival bc he himself was at his best when stan was at his best. I'm a die-hard Djokovic fan and I think that GOAT status is his to lose at this point. But I have to admit, Stan's god mode is the most impressive thing I've ever seen in tennis and the type of tennis I personally find to be most interesting to watch. It's so savage but surgical at the same time. Too bad he is a late bloomer and does not have much control over that god mode switch. It seems to be available to him only a few times a year and sometimes only once in a few years. But when it is on... everyone take cover! He takes no prisoners.
