When I held up my response ('Lindsey') to that fateful question on live TV, Lindsey looked at me (in the green room) and said "Good job Lex, you're right!" A split second later, Probst (on TV) announced, "Lex, you're wrong. Kim wins immunity." It depends on the specific rules. My guess is that nails/pairs wouldn't count as verbs because they are alternate forms (third party present) of nail/pair, so it would be similar issues to using plurals.

Some of these feel less like the producers screwing up and more the producers didn't have some of the rules written in stone yet because the show was new.
@srayjАй бұрын
@@Captain_Subpar I absolutely agree with you. I think what it shows is that the show has evolved a lot and they’ve had to think through every scenario and possibility to make sure they have rules in place so that they can’t just come up with a rule on the spot to benefit one tribe over another or one player over another. They have to have a set of rules that are predetermined and applied no matter who is in the running in that particular scenario so as not to be accused of rigging the game.

One mistake they may or may not have corrected is who votes during a tie between three people. It never really made sense that the three players who received votes had to sit out, since they would each still be able to choose between the other two. Now with the thing in 47 where Sierra got to vote for Sam because he had lost his vote and she didn’t, and Jeff explained it was because her vote wouldn’t be cancelled out, this should also be applied to any potential three-way ties going forward.

The early season "screw ups" (aside from the very arbitrary tribe sit outs in Australia and illegal coral reef picking lol), to me have felt mostly like the show working out its own kinks along the way and change certain rules accordingly for the following seasons to account for things - like the s4 rock draw, I didn't realize Jeff actually apologized for that!! 😂 I just always assumed they changed the rule as a RESULT of Paschal's departure. 😂 The "screw ups" in later seasons feel worse to me, in a way, because they're not a new show ironing out kinks. Or, and most especially, the way the Dan/Kellie was handled/not handled is by far the worst screw up from the producers. Gross mishandling.

Unless your Colby and Survivor and willing to pay a $250,000 fine, That fine is why they have never returned to Australia in more than 20 years now. The production just wanted to see if Gervase would eat the disgusting food. The other major production goof that you didn't cover, unless you have covered it in a prior episode, was not being certain of all players receiving their letter from home in season 1. Especially seeing as they used it as a joke toward that player the next time she played.

One of my best friends I grew up with got diagnosed with Leukemia when he was 11 (ryan-cole weldon-carol his name), and he ended up getting a wish from the make a wish foundation (I was invited to his party where his wish got revealed. They submit a number of wishes and the organization tries to get their top most choice). At the time this was completely unprecedented and the first time survivor had ever done something like this, but because survivor was the show he and his family would binge in the hospital to help him fight through it, his wish was getting to be with the production team on their cruise ship they stay on when they filmed survivor (i think it was around the time of survivor 22-24 ish but dont quote me). He and his mom were the some of the first ever non-production related people allowed on "set" of survivor, including the families of the contestants. Basically the production crew knows where the idols are, and they have the drone/helicopter footage they use to get overhead shots of challenges to see when someone is getting close to an idol, and they get a camera there. Other ways they have done it is that they have go pros set up everywhere along footpaths already for just in between shots of them walking to and from places, and there's certain unspoken rules about where an idol could be, like it's not actually too far off a beaten path usually, but you can't use go pro cameras as clues because those are everywhere already. If all else fails, they don't like doing it but sometimes they will re-shoot someone finding an idol, or they ask the survivors to film themselves finding an idol if they go searching for one in the middle of the night just so that it can be verified that they got the same idol that the production crew left for them. The thing is that the show is one of the best shows of all time not just for ratings, but also behind the scenes it's one of the best and most complex camera jobs someone can get. The amount of footage they comb through for editing in any particular episode is massive. And a big reason they did not allow any non-production members until they started doing make a wish was SO they could keep it a legitimate game but get every shot they can. They really are just THAT good at getting a camera in the right place at the right time.

The back part (heel) of his back foot is on a wider section of the balance beam he is not suppose to be on, and yet they called him winner when clearly he had an unfair advantage that should have disqualified him according to the rules. I have screenshots to prove it. And it wasn't subtle. It was VERY apparent while watching the challenge without pausing even. I'm really surprised I haven't heard/seen a single person bring this up it was so easy to see.
