Aside from his cardio issues that were beyond his control, Zabit was an incredibly complete fighter…Wrestling, grappling, and mind blowing striking like he’d been doing it his entire life. His agility and coordination were also jaw dropping. At 6’1”, that couldn’t have been an easy weight cut.

Definitely the most skilled fighter in the history of mma. Literally no one ever put it all together like he did. And still made it flashy. It used to drive me crazy not seeing him fight and now I have to deal with never seeing him fight again. He's prolly gonna go and be the greatest doctor of all time.

Idk about " most skilled fighter in history of mma" I would rethink thar. He really only fought Calvin kattar that was his biggest opponent. But, he was supremely talented and I thought he could beat everyone in that weight class. But he said he doesn't feel 100% anymore after medical issues. But he will go down as a huge "what if?"
@sariahreigns3666
@sariahreigns3666 Жыл бұрын
flat out lie. He wouldnt even fight 5 rounds and Stephens took him to the ground and was beating his face in at the end of round 3 how you think round 4 would go? Also kattar started coming back in round 3. Both those 2 been in many 5 round fights they wouldnt have drown zabit but hes too much a bitch to even follow the rules of MMA. All main event non title headliner fights are 5 rounds. He wouldnt do 5 rounds. Coward.

@@NoOne-ky1er I have to assume u weren't around when he was actively fighting. What other fighter put striking, takedowns and submissions together like him? Ask yourself what fighters were on his level of striking? And when u come up with 1 or 2 guys ask yourself if they were taking guys down and submitting them? He was doing punches, kicks, takedowns and submissions that nobody else was doing. Sterling hit one of the craziest submissions done in the ufc and zabit went out and hit the same sub only better that same night just to show he could do it. He hit pettis' showtime kick just to show that he can. Maybe we never saw him put it all together against the best fighters at 145 but he was literally playing with his competition. Mark Henry, Eddie Alvarez, frankie Edgar, Marlon moraes, aljamain sterling and many others also said be was the most skilled fighter they ever saw. As for being a casual I watched ufc 2 live on a black box and trained mma for 15 years and was a sparring partner for multiple ufc fighters.

This guy proves what I’ve believed my whole life. All that tough guy behavior and belief systems are bs. I believe he’s so good because he actually cares about not hurting people. I think the secret is valuing life and others. Keeps you present. And in tune with the opponent. It’s a theory. But more than that he proved that all that tough guy behavior isn’t needed. No tough guy talk, no tough guy grandiose beliefs in oneself. Seems like a kind man with true confidence. Unlike most fighters.
