This is why birds follow dino packs. When they get into fights one will often run away to recover stamina or to sleep to heal some damage. This is a critical moment for a bird to watch for. A moment where a big dino can't defend itself and takes extra damage. The thallasodromeus is not a combat type dinosaur it's meant more to be a scavenger. You prey on the dying and the weak. So exploiting weaknesses and being patient for the PERFECT opportunity is absolutely necessary if you want to snag a trophy.

Another good tip to avoid both the tail and head (but requires very percise/skilled flying) is to hover over another dinos back and bite there. If you can keep up and stay aligned, you can deal damage without getting hit, then flee if they break check or start turning around to hit you

Useful tips! I'm playing it like almost roleplaying or smth.. not a great killer but when I'm playing as my bird I just behave like a scavenger getting food when apex predators leave their preys and have fun doing fishing dives (until u dive to close to a giant sarco lol). Funny dino to play! Loving it! (at least from a purely PvE/RP perspective)

@@juinoxx it’s not really meant for combat against apex Dino’s it’s more of a small prey slash fisher there is a reason it can regain Stan in water it’s a flying coastal Dino stop trying to make a Rodan vs Godzilla because Rodin still gets stomped in the end

@@jordonjbmc9321 well I don’t think hazt would be a good pvp flyer cause it having a very big head meaning it would be alot slower then most dinosaurus so making it fight like anything faster with a strong bite then it self could lead to death in my opinion so hazt would still stay the same as thalasso but with a little bit bigger prey items.

The tail biting is actually smart cuz u can bait it with precise movement too

I think it needs a lunge bite attack to make it more effective. Something that’ll give it speed while doing damage

I like to use thal to harass and endlessly laugh at baby killers until they can't stand it and log out

Also you don't need to do much damage at all to get under someone's skin and mess with their head. A little nip In the butt outa nowhere causes alot of chaos

I’m hoping they get a buff a small damage buff and might even be nice if thy change how fast they climb cuz as it is now from floor lvl to air ceiling it’s rather slow and it relies on that dive to get speed in the air but to get a good distance off the ground take alittle time health buff or armor buff is needed maybe even both I feel like there miss a hide option tho idk there kit seems rather light to me also feel if your dive them or peaking them it should cause some bleed i know there a possibility that the other small flyer welll be the bleeder of the flyers but there’s no way the beak didn’t make Dino’s bleed it’s huge it could probably crush and human skull

Think of it like this do you ever see an eagle attack and eat wolves and bears no then why try to make something that doesn’t specialize in that area more that what it is raptors can’t take on rexes so why should the thingwhich probably only ways a few hundred pounds maybe less against a 9’000 pound animal ?
