monica mourad i would say do as many practice tests as you can possibly find anywhere. Also, do practice questions on khan academy like it's your religion, I'd say like an hour a day. Hope this helps!

When there is a hard question I just can't skip it, if I invest more than 30 seconds on the question then I am stuck until I do it, it seems easy to avoid but it really isn't, it is like a minor OCD, and I get really angry and remember that I should skip it but I decide to take it as a challenge instead and believe I will solve the question soon when I almost always don't solve it soon enough! I hope I'm not alone here.

UltimatePokeGamer7 I’m taking the SAT for the first time in a few days, so I’m not exactly an expert, but I recommend getting the official SAT book from Khan Academy and read it to see what to expect. Then, do a bunch of practice tests like the month of the test. I’ve done 6 practice tests and I’ve raised my score from 1200 to 1330.😀

I'm helping a friend study for the SAT and his main problem is he is just toooo sloooow. I created a drill for him, all stuff he should know. I gave him something like 3 minutes to zip through them. I said start and he just stared and stared. At 1:30 he was still working on his first or second problem. I told him to skip or guess and just try and get through it; I'd rather see a silly mistake than an unanswered question, and the point was speed. He became enraged and caused a scene. I don't know what to do because I thought drills would be a great idea. Have you ever encountered slow students like this, and how do you handle it?

That’s really kind of you to help your friend. I would suggest a personalized practice test for him. Make the questions a bit easier, and then you can escalate from there.
