I got a bonus tip. Lets say one gets a task, I have coding tasks in mind but should be the same with any kind of task/ project and it has a certain deadline. Try to complete the basic/simplest version of the task that is acceptable first before going into detailed features on your on initiative. Often we underestimate the task at hand and start doing extra work before meeting the minimum requirement and end up overworking or missing the deadlines. Instead we can complete the work for deadline first and later add the extra details on top of it. The fact that we have already completed the work gives us extra creativity when we add the extra details.

Thanks for sharing this, that is definitely a good idea! Like this you avoid stress shortly before the deadline. And its true that especially when you are not that experienced its hard to guess how much time you will need for finishing the project. Also its good practice to always estimate more time than you think you would need and do the important parts of the project first.
