Has anyone had to use the "imaginary" partner trick while solo travelling? I'd love to hear some of your experiences below!! 💛

This is so funny! My family would travel to Portugal, and when there were five of us, we'd get sat at a table of six, so we always said Bob was our imaginary sixth person. Your tip is good for everywhere and every situation. If you are attacked, turn around and yell two men's names, or if you feel like a weirdo is following you, turn and wave to an imaginary someone in the not-too-far-off distance behind them while yelling, "Mike!!!! Hey, hurry up!" Another tip: be careful smiling at men. It's common in the US to smile at strangers as you pass by, but in Portugal, it means you're flirting.
