Do you have to list the condition of the card yourself or does comc do that for you?

COMC will list the condition of the card themselves, although you can add condition notes to the card which are just your own comments about the card’s condition that buyers can see

I have a question regarding condition. Who sets this? I see EX-NM going for higher than "Raw" cards. What are all the options for listing the condition?

COMC sets the condition of the card. You can appeal a card’s given condition and give your justification for a different condition for the card and they might change it. When setting the prices on cards, you only see the prices of cards in that condition and not the prices for other cards with different conditions. This means people won’t see a lower price for a better conditioned card.

@EagleMan_TradingCards I have another dumb question, unless I just haven't found it yet, why doesn't COMC allow you to message another user and ask questions at the very least, this doesn't make sense to me, it would reduce returns at the very least.

@@thepursuitofhappiness9390 If they give a card the EX-NM, or even Good-VG designation it means that they saw something on the card. If the card is in good condition they don’t put that in the title. Some cards have the designation and don’t deserve it, and some don’t have it and need it. In terms of messaging, I agree that there should be some way to message but sometimes the seller of a card isn’t the one that submitted it so they wouldn’t know if it has any defects.

If I donate I see they donate 80% of proceeds in your name so do you actually get any store credit once it's sold in COMC's charity account or given back fees when you had it listed in your own account? Thanks for any info

cold cards, you can run a port sale...... if you have massive amounts of cold cards you can run by sport, any recently added cards you can mark as unsold. port sales cost $5.00 a week dealers are always looking to add on quantity

I've watched a few videos from people explaining how comc works, but this is the first time I'm hearing that you set your own prices and interact with customers etc. I was under the impression that you just send your cards to them and they deal with everything and cut you a check. Like, they set the prices and do all the selling etc. What exactly is the extent of our involvement in getting the cards sold?

This is how COMC works: You create a submission slip online through COMC and on it you declare how many cards you're submitting and what submission service you want to use. Then, you put that submission slip in a box filled with the cards you want to send to COMC. Then you ship it! After some time, COMC will take the photos and add all of the details to your cards. The cards will only be for sale once you put a listing price on them, so it's your job to type in how much you want to sell your cards for. Once the card is priced and listed for sale, and if you have offers enabled, buyers can send you offers for your cards. If you receive an offer on a card, you can accept, deny, or counter with another offer. That's about the extend of the buyer to seller interaction on the site. COMC will not set the prices of your cards, you would have to do that.
